URPAD's VPS Migration ! How is your feedback now ?
Hi,
Many of you know that URPAD is sold to Root Level Tech & they moved all the VPS's to their New Owned Facility. But, the performance is poor comparing to the previous.
I have 2 VPS's with them on a Promotion. At that time, the Port Speed was 1 gbps (although advertisement said 100 mbps, luckily I got 1 gbps on both of them). Now, it's less than or equal to 100 mbps by far.
The Disk I/O, I was getting at that time was about 300-400 mbps (though it was not SSD/SSD-Cached), Now, getting 40-60 mbps !
Also, the Support is taking more time now to answer likely 72 hours to reply a ticket ! -_-
Kindly, let me know your feedback alongside which Location you are using !

I don't see the problem here?
I assume the problem is reduced port speed.
It's advertised as 100mbit. I don't see the problem except the I/O dd tesy
you mean the one who merge VPSs together for better oversale? nah. btw I/O 300-400 mbps?

houston4 node
Houston4 node is the worst.
100th time, URPAD SUCKS
Well, be happy that your node got moved and not completely wiped without a backup, you know, it could always be worse !

They deleted one of my VPS and are calling me crazy saying that i've never had a second one...
My I/O is ok, the down and up speed is shite apparently they are limiting it die to on going migrations...
Luis is the worst support person...
Just get out of there while you can...
Is there anyway to contact them now? Like others, I cannot log into or reset my password and want that refund
nvm, appears the reset page has been fixed
seriously..? $350 to install software with a broken concept/design?
Houston3 is overloaded disk io.
Also their routing between Losangels and Houston has an issue. It might be a reason of their poor network.
traceroute to Losangles from Houston
Sadly Luis could not do traceroute by himself nor read the trace i sent.
I guess they were hacked and the email sent by hacker. After that one of the nodes got wiped.
My new VPS is Orlando2. The worst of all is they only allocated 300MHz (x4 cores) to the VPS.
Wow, so I am super lucky...
Not only that i got migrated where i wanted but:
Happy camper.

any more people having troubles?
I'm giving them one last chance (Hey, where else am I going to find a $17/yr VPS?) and if they still call me crazy then i'll leave.
good question
mine is 21 but it comes with 512 mb ram and 1024 vswap, 50 GB disk, 1.75 a month is not something i cannot spare.
Urpad is far from the most reliable provider out there, but he prices are good enough to make it a good deal for something you dont depend on.
Wow, which plan are you on? (kidding)
