VPS for Final Year University Project
Hi,
I'm looking for a VPS for my final year project at University (I'm an undergrad computer scientist) and was wondering if someone would like to sponsor my project.
A VPS with an SSD and 256mb RAM or more would be perfect. All I will need the VPS for is testing my simpleserversetup script. The site will be hosted at http://simpleserversetup.com.
I will included your companies name in the footer of the site e.g. sponsored by _______ I will leave it here for as long as I use your VPS for testing my script.
This is the script I am currently developing: http://lowendtalk.com/discussion/12419/simple-server-setup-0-2-beta-wip-debian-6-32bit-64bit-debian-7-32bit-nginx-php-perconadb#latest
Thanks,
Tom

How long do you plan on using this VPS?
@Reece is sending off free ones: http://lowendtalk.com/discussion/15026/feeling-generous-giving-away-5x-512mb-vps-s-for-3-months
June/July next year
@Salmon please take a look: http://lowendtalk.com/discussion/15026/feeling-generous-giving-away-5x-512mb-vps-s-for-3-months
However it's not SSD based I'm afraid. We can give you extra time due to the lower resource requirement if you needed.
cant see page, cant see script.
all is offline from here
Sorry but an install script does not sound like a big enough deal to be a final year project.
if the professor approved it, then no should be no problem
Sorry it probably sounds a bit simple in this description. The site will be coded in HTML, CSS and javascript. Backend PHP will generate the script the user customises. Have you heard of nnite? It'll be a bit like that but for server software and some CMS software. Each script will then be stored on the server where the user can wget there unique file. There will also be a login system to see your previously generated scripts.
Wouldn't it be easier to create one large script with a menu that allows users to choose what they want to install?
I was going to do this at first but I want to create a user friendly interface.

I think if you can wait a little, I might be able to do something for you. But sadly, I wouldn't be able to provide an SSD.
Thank you for all the offers guys. @Reece has provided me with a VPS
If you can prove you are a student eg scan or photo of your student ID. I have no issue giving you a SSD VPS if you require.
