  • That's a very good deal, how in the world would you profit from that?

I have a feeling someone will answer my question with the usual "oversold" remark..

  • Is streaming allowed?

    ToS
    Resource Usage
    Users may not:
Use 10% or more of CPU resources for longer then 60 seconds (Applies to Virtual Servers ONLY)

You'd be surprised at the rates for our hardware and IPs that we're able to attain.

@albertdb If it's not prohibited by our Terms of Service it's allowed however please keep in mind that we do have CPU resource limitations.

    What does this mean? 10%?

Of the CPU resources available to you, you're allowed to use 10%. In OpenVZ, CPU Cores are shared.

  • @GreenValueHost it seems just silly to me, you can't do much with 10% for less than a minute.

We're not very strict on the "60 seconds" clause. As long as you don't cause an issue affecting all clients on the node, you're fine.

  • @GreenValueHost that's better. :)

  • @GreenValueHost
Got only one IP mate. Did I miss it?

Why you do not assign 10% of each core in OpenVZ? It's pretty easy to "abuse" your service with that ToS.

We prefer to be lenient until the time comes when we have to be strict with limitations.

@Kupol - Extra IPs have not yet been processed as of yet, I'll let everyone know once it's all set.

  • Extra IPs have been assigned to those who qualify

    No, sorry

  • Since August I am using a VPS in their Dallas location. After some issues I am now quite happy with it!

However when I ordered a VPS in their New York location last week, they where not able to set the correct time on the host, it is off about 4 hours (changing the timezone on the VPS doesn't change that...). This prevents many applications from running properly.
In a support ticket Mr. Nguyen doesn't want to fix it, quote: "If you need to set your own custom time, please order a dedicated server."

    Thanked by 2rm_ Inglar
