Yes, it is. Serverless cloud solutions are all so amazing, I can't believe people are still learning WordPress instead of Jamstack.

HPC (machine learning, scientific calculations, huge complex algorithms, databases, etc) will be the future of VPSes, not website hosting like a PHP page... those will eventually be CloudFlare pages, someone will eventually make building a Jamstack website easier than a WordPress one today.

    Just my opinion :)

    I have about 20 websites.
Only 2 are traditional PHP websites (not WordPress).
All others are static websites, hosted on Netlify or GitHub Pages.

    I have about 15 VPS.
They provide network services over UDP, QUIC, or WebSockets.
Static websites can then connect to these network services to implement dynamic features.

HPC on VPS isn't going to happen within 25~33% CPU allowance.
It has to be dedicated CPU (and sometimes GPU) billed hourly, plus block storage billed monthly.
Most small providers on this forum are unable to offer that.

Just looking at that graphic, closing browser tab.
Why would you advertise that shit that misleading?

We delete the webserver you know, the shit is running on flying unicorns.
Just put the app and webserver into micro, looks better.

    kurwa

    Future my ass.

It is rather padla, not kurwa.

  • No, it's just the current buzzword and a really good way to profit if you're a provider.

It is all about money. Hiring a Designer to build a wordpress is much cheaper than hiring a programme plus a designer.

    "Learning" WordPress?
I can give a totally clueless customer the login to a WP site and it will take them 5 minutes to figure out how to click on the theme they want and then click "new post" and start typing. There is basically no learning needed.

Jamstack is for developers, Wordpress is for users. One does not replace the other.

  • Don't be intimidated by my name, I am not a supplier, let alone a Jamstack supplier

    I am a developer
