Love playing around and spin up a VM once in a while. I don't care if its HDD or the network is over capacity or the CPU is slow because of mining neighbors.

RAM: 16 GB
Disk: 80 GB
KVM nested support
Traffic: throttle it / fair use
Port: > 10Mbit
Location: EU / US

€10 monthly

Contabo doesn't support nested virtualization in their VPS line.

  • Oh like to add that IPv4 is not asked. NAT or IPv6 only

PHP-Friends EPYC servers are probably your best option. https://php-friends.de/vserver-ssd

KTS24's SATA HDD - 16GB plan sounds like a fit.

    CPU: 6vCores
    RAM: 16GB
    Disk: 160GB HDD
    Location: Netherlands
    Network: ?
    Price: 8.95 EUR/m

Just ask presales if nested virt is enabled, mine was already enabled when the service was provisioned (although mine is not this plan).

That looks perfect. Are you happy with them? I asked sales about virt

  • I'm using KTS service for a longer time. They servers are solid

Yes, granted I've only been with them for around 4 months.

    Some anecdotes:
    1. The billing works on a top-up scheme, some people find this annoying. Personally, I don't mind.
    2. Support is okay and pretty reasonable, I once had trouble topping up credits due to PayPal suddenly not accepting my cards. Support offered me the option to use the Send Money option in PayPal and topped up the equivalent credits after.
    3. They don't give IPv6 subnets but instead hand out IPs one by one. I had to ticket to receive IPv6 but then only gave me 10. It's whatever since I don't used my machine for production but might be a deal breaker for some.
    4. Make sure you enable auto-extension in the panel, I've heard people not getting email notifications for expiry (I haven't personally experienced this).
    5. Can't really comment on node performance since I only use mine occasionally in short bursts for compiling heavy stuff (kernel, gcc, etc.)

Just bought a KTS24 8GB HDD plan, disappointed to find out that nested virt is disabled. Asking support if they can somehow enable it :(

  • if budget can be doubled, go for a proper one at avoro.
