High CPU powered windows based VPS

I am running my own AI based algorithms for high frequency trading and looking for a high cpu powered windows based VPS.

At least 8 GB RAM
80 GB NVMe
one Dedicated CPU core with both the execution threads

Again, I need dedicated cpu core ... not cpu execution thread

Thanks so much

NetCup is offering this for $12 per month.
    Does @seriesn has comparable plan?

There's only one problem, giving access to a "physical" core. Hypothetically, 2 dedicated thread would equal to 1 physical core. However, if you need something with HT disabled (so just 1 raw core and no ht), it might not be a possible option with qemu/libvirt.

Someone please correct me because I been looking into this for quite sometimes at this point and have never been able to find a doc where I can neat pick when to enable ht and when not to. Affinity and pinning wasn't the answer as the HT would still stay enabled.

Ahh! Looks like you already found a great deal. Very few can match what netcup or php-friends offers for the budget. The pricing is indeed super awesome.

Please do note, you are still going to get access to a thread and it is not truly dedicated to you. You can just use em 24/7, but so can your neighbor. So there maybe some fighting involved ;)

  • two pinned CPU threads to the VPS should work fine

    • vDedi-1c + 1 additional vCore should do the trick for you :)

Thank you for such detailed reply.

You have earned lot of respects around. There are very few providers with such professionalism and dedication.

    Wishing you the best

    Two points -
    1. This is about $39 per month (or $35 with 6-months commitment)
    2. Memory is 6 GB

Sadly price is non negotiable :(. Longer the commitment, bigger the discount.

On the order page, you can customize resources to add the extra 2GB ram.

You might get better bang for the bucks by picking up a Hetzner box :)

Go to BIOS settings and disable hyper-threading.
This can only be done on the whole server, not per physical core or per NUMA socket.

A close approximation is setting one thread "offline" and running the workload on the other thread.
This way, there's no other workload stealing your L2 cache.

Yeah so can’t really mix and match. I didn’t chose AMD, just to disable HT ya know 😂

Finally, I got the VPS with these specifications
one dedicated cpu core with both the threads

and the cost is €20 per quarter. :)

    Geekbench 5 -
    https://browser.geekbench.com/v5/cpu/7317903
    Single-Core 653 Multi-Core 1248

I am very happy with the VPS. I will be sharing my detailed review of the VPS in next couple of days.

    Thank you, @tomazu and WebHosting24
    Greatly appreciated

So do you let people burn unlimited CPU on a slice?

(unlimited I assume means you cap it somehow at the hypervisor, but the user doesn't need to worry about getting a nasty email from support)

    4GB includes 1 dedicated core I believe :)

1 logical core (cpu hyperthread) ... not one core

    Francisco

I am very impressed with quality and stability of the slices, as well as transparency. $7 slice is clearly 50% dedicated core ... that sets expectations in clear terms .... unlike some vendors who offer multiple vCPU cores but limit 100% burst to just 10 minutes in 24 hour window.

The cost of dedicated $15 slice is only factor that did not work in my case.

    BuyVM is strongly recommended. 👍🏼👍🏼

My bad. Yeah logical core :)
