I wonder what happens if a burst takes up (1 hour) 5Gbps of bandwidth?
It should be fine but you will run out of bandwidth in 2-4 hours depending on plans.
cpu usage policy?
@NDTN
It would be nice if cpu core allocation (whether it is 10% or 50%) is mentioned in the offers for transparency.
Please check our TOS: https://greencloudvps.com/terms-of-service.php
Our CPUs are fair share, so it's not allowed to fully utilized the CPU.
What is the sharing percentage?
We have just updated the TOS for more details, average ~ 30% should be fine.
So I wont be kicked using 30% cpu for 24 hours?
Yes unless the host node has very high load we will ask you to reduce the usage (but would not happen in most cases).
This is vague in my opinion.
Thanks for clarifying and updating TOS as a result of direct questions asked in this thread.
@NDTN
From TOS -
You can burst up to 100% for 10 minutes, every 24 hours.
This should be mentioned in BOLD letters along with offers.
I had a kvm with them for about an year.
Most of the times all my vps will have a load between 0.1 to 0.5(out of 2 allocated cores). But, some times I did burst upto 100% for a few hours and they never complained. Dont know if the situation is changed now.
They are a good reliable provider.
Your VPS may be on a node with much less resource load.
Since their TOS states clearly - "You can burst up to 100% for 10 minutes, every 24 hours.". It means anyone exceeding that 10 minute window, that account can be suspended or closed as per their provider's discretion.
Some folks may be willing to take that chance, but I personally wont.
There is a reason why many "reliable" providers never mention such TOS conditions in the offer page.
It’s up to you. You wanted “transparency” and we gave it. Ramnode and Nexusbytes have the same policy, so you say they are not reliable? It’s fair share so be nice. Good luck with other providers.
The performance is OK, but the speed of connecting to China is slow, so Chinese users should be cautious. There is no refund for the special machine.
My VPS provider has this TOS for cpu usage:
“As a general rule as long as you are not impacting others then you will not be restricted however as a guide line we ask that you do not average over 60% of a CPU core/thread for more than 24 hours on average or 100% of a core/thread for more than 1 hour.”
As a consumer I have a choice to pick provider that has TOS more aligned to my requirements. My average cpu core/thread usage is around 50% and have much more time allotted than just 10 minutes for high cpu usage.
My VPS has 2 vCPU cores and paid $30/year.
@NDTN
Here is Geekbench report for my VPS
https://browser.geekbench.com/v5/cpu/7119550
Single-Core Score 951
Multi-Core Score 1750
feel free to share yours.
You can search for the Geekbench results our customers posted here.
Yes it's your choice, so move on.
Unfortunately we cannot guarantee best speed to China on all of our VPS plans, as it will depend on locations/networks. We do have 7-day money back guarantee for non-promotional VPS, so if you would like to test, order our normal VPS instead.
@NDTN what is the dc in Miami?
Hello,
It's QuadraNET Miami.
Thanks!
Is there speedtest result?

@NDTN how does the bandwidth limit works? Do we get warning notification in case of 90% usage? Does the service/server gets suspended in case of reaching the limit?
You will receive the email notifications once reaching 90% & 100% bandwidth usage. The VPS will be suspended after reaching the limit.
I just ordered one, but if an user of my network, just misuse a page builder in wordpress multisite, and a bug occur, with a big cpu usage, all my multiple clients (that get their website) will have also their website disconnected... that's maybe not the best option for me a vps so, what's other solutions?
