You can run wireguard-go on VZ. (https://d.sb/2019/07/wireguard-on-openvz-lxc).

Those LittleVZ can even run docker. So you can even run wireguard-go inside docker. (https://github.com/masipcat/wireguard-go-docker)

When Nyr scripts detect it's running inside VZ, it automatically switches to BoringTun (a user-space wireguard implementation , just like wireguard-go).

yesterday, when some services needed to be recreated.
& this code was also provided as a compensation to select users.
though it is public now, can be used till 25th :)

  • You may want to take a look at MrVM.
Singapore is now available again for a short time. $7.00 yr.
    https://clients.mrvm.net/cart.php?a=confproduct&i=0
Yes, it's only 256mg, but it works perfectly for WireGuard, OCSERV (openconnect), and Shadowsocks. 500GB of transfer too.

As you may have discovered, WebHorizon has had serious issues lately, and it uses the OVH network (clunky at times unfortunately).
The MrVM SG network continues to be fast, stable, and reliable.
    Set it, forget it.

(We have both MrVM and WebHorizon SG testbeds, so...)
And Gullo's pricing is too high right now.

BTW, if you are running on an OpenVZ container, the installation for WireGuard is not the same as a KVM. Angristan throws an OVZ error. So just use the NYR roadwarrior, super easy: https://github.com/Nyr/wireguard-install
Simply pay attention to the correct port settings.

The NAT and WireGuard setups can seem a little complicated, but it just takes a few minutes to figure out how it all works. Very satisfying though, all in all.

    Have fun with it.

newbie here. Not sure to use the NAT IP or the Internal IP. I tried both on Port 22. Cannot get a connection.

It seems difficult, sure. Read the email carefully. Then go into your account and poke around. It's hard the first time for everybody I think, but once you get it? Nuttin.

Here's how it works. There's one 'public' or 'external' ipv4 address. This is for a bunch of people. The ipv4 is shared by using 'ports'. In your account, you will find an 'external' or 'public' address. Use that, then use the last octect of your 'private' ip address as the first numbers in your allotted ports.

Example: public ip = 123.456.78.9, use that. If your private ip is 987.6.54.321, then your assigned port for SSH access would be 32121 (321 being the last octect, and 21 the assigned for SSH access.

    So, in putty it's 123.456.78.9:32121

With WireGuard, the NYR script will find the correct external address, then you have to put in one of your assigned ports. Case above you might do 32120.

Funny thing is, it works really well. It's dead cheap. And a great little arrow to add to your quiver of knowledge for the future.

    Managed to connect.
When i ran the Nyr script, it prompted TUN not installed.
Went back to "Control Panel" > "VPS Configuration", i had both "Tun/Tap and
"PPP" enabled. It continues to prompt TUN not installed.

Do i need to do anything else?

you may need to reboot VM after enabling/disabling TUN/TAP/FUSE/GRE via control panel.

    Ah yes. got it.

I ran NYR script, it asked the following:

    • This server is behind NAT. What is the public IPv4 address or hostname?
    • Public IPv4 address / hostname :
    • What port should WireGuard listen to?
    • Port [51820]:

I entered the public address given and also the key in 51820.
Followed the steps and export the conf. However, no connection.
    Did i get it wrong?

51820 is wireguard default port. You need to provide the ports assigned to you instead of 51820.

You should have received an email with ports 1000 to 1020, then you need to use any one port number from your range

    Glad you got it.
