SSD Storage offers now with upgraded IOPS

servarica_haniservarica_hani Member, Patron Provider

Hi All,

As you know we have offered few SSD offers last blackfriday
the offer were based on SAN SSD storage servers and on our initial tests they did OK but once real users started to use them the performance was worst that what we expected

So we have been working for few months to offer our version 2 of the same offers

We started building the hardware for those offers from scratch and we got large number of SSDs and servers to run the offers on

I am happy that after initial testing and moving most of our old SSD clients to the new servers the performance was much better than before with extra protection

to not wast your time here are the offers
Will wait till someone will post the benchmarks

Note: torrent or any disk IO intensive application is allowed and encouraged on these SSD or NVME servers (legal stuff)

The Offers:

Swordfish SSD storage 1

Swordfish SSD Storage 1
3x CPU cores
4GB RAM
400GB SSD disk
unlimited transfer
100mbps vps port
1x IPv4
IPv6 available by request

(Check out this URL there is some good storage and other SSD offers outside ther limit of LET)

  • What raid level you use for storage servers

  • All the offers you see here are based on raidz or raidz2 pools

I got one Flying Fish box before last year's Christmas promo.

  • Can you give a test report?

it not that it is not allowed
it is not build for that so you will not get best performance there

i think @caracal yabs was from this plan
if you still want me to post another one i can

No need , actually all users on the old SSD infra are moved with no exception already
Some users where moved early on when they opened tickets 2 months ago and we did move all the users who never complained few days ago , as we believe the speed they were getting is was not that good so we moved them even without asking

    @aRNoLD said:

I got one Flying Fish box before last year's Christmas promo.

If you never opened ticket regarding SSD performance it means you were moved few days ago , if you did open ticket few months ago it means you were moved when you opened the ticket so in both cases you are not on the slow SSD arch

yes at least for the start then we will reevaluate for the swordfish plans (swordfish is stable plan that usually we dont restrict how many the users will get , so soon swordfish will get the limit removed if we have some stock)
for flying fish the limit will always be 3 per customer

Curiosity: for Polar Bear is still limited to 3 - considering global warming and climate change?

    Thank you, hani.

    update:
tried bt download, speed drops down to several k/s, but direct download via wget rises up to about 20 plus mb/s

yes actually today we set it to out of stock
need to wait for the new disks to arrive to reopening it

Damn this global warming, affecting all the polar bears while melting the ice cap.

Yep, also having this issue, so you're not the only one.

  • We have network issue from uplink , investigating

  • @Decicus @itsnotv Thanks, guys. Hope they will manage to resolve it soon. And I'd better start following their Twitter.

  • They had added backup provider, but don't know why its not switching to it.

only ram and disk will double , cpu will start to have more cores after you stack 4 vms
BW will scale(not linearly) if in 1gbps port but not on the 100mbps port
