Looking for a dedicated server with at least 4 GB RAM

I am planning on starting a startup company, which would be a SAAS Provider. I am 16 y.o., so I don't really have a lot of money.
What I want in the dedicated server is :
At least a quad core CPU, with VT-x or AMD-v
4 GB of RAM, preferably with a good frequency
500+ GB of storage, preferably with backups or RAID
200 MBPS or faster connection(considering VPSes usually have 100 MBPS)
2 TB+ bandwidth
I want this to be as cheap as possible.
So any suggestions/offers?
Thanks in advance.

http://datashack.net/ is pretty good and has the requirements you need at a pretty low price.

For 500 GB storage, datashack goes up to $50. I might not have so much money if I don't get funding.

Seems good to me, but again, I might not have so much money. If I get funded, then this seems like a pretty good deal to me.

Ok, PM me if you want it.

  • QuickPacket has a decent $49/month offer for Dual L5420s, 16GBs of RAM, 1TB HDD, 10TB BW, 100Mbit port. Located in Atlanta. Cheapest offer for what they provide, and they're a rock solid provider! I think this is the best offer you can get which exceeds your requirements. Unless you're looking for something even more cheap..

    https://www.quickpacket.com/billing/cart.php?a=add&pid=100&promocode=VPSBXEON

Price is $69.99 there but once you proceed to the checkout the discount will take effect and reduce the price. It's a recurring offer.

    Thanked by 1qps

There is still some time before I will buy the server, so will the offer be available for like, lets say, the next 30 days?
Also, do you know of something cheaper? In the $20-30 range?

  • If you're inside EU you can get it for ~$16/mo (about $20/mo with VAT) from OVH: http://www.ovh.co.uk/dedicated_servers/kimsufi_4g.xml

The offer should still be there. This offer has been going on for months, but the stock does finish once in a while and I'm not sure when they restock. Usually in a few weeks they will restock whenever they're out of stock. As for cheaper stuff, check out Datashack. Their servers are located in Kansas City. Their cheapest server costs $35/month and it does suit your requirements perfectly. https://www.datashack.net/cart/?id=181

Thanks, I'll have a look into that.

You just copy pasted the specs directly from the DataShack website, and added some to the price. Also, 55.95 + 10 = 65.95

I resell them to clients all prices are in the shopping cart enjoy

  • I would not suggest Datashack, the servers are cheap but the network is slow and heavily filtered usually runs 24/7 with packet loss.

  • Wholsesale internet is another to check out solid network for the price

The $49/month server is a single Xeon CPU. We offer dual CPU with 16GB RAM for a bit more. At this time, our $49/month server is the cheapest we offer.

Well, I pay money for the server using my credit card, the customers pay money for the application using their cc/dc to my paypal. I am not sure of the context in which you are asking your question, but if its about my contract with customers, they can raise a paypal dispute if I fail to deliver(which I'm positive I wouldn't).
Thanks everyone, I'm overwhelmed by the amount of offers. Hopefully going to buy one of the servers soon.

18 y/o or younger usually just uses mummy and daddys name on anything billing related, or they just tick the box that says confirm your age.

No host I have used has asked for my DOB, heck not even OVH.

    Why would you mention it?

    Quote from volumedrive.com

    Dedicated package 1

    CPU: AMD Athlon X2 4200+ (2 cores)

    RAM: 4 GB DDR2 Memory

    HD: 250 GB Hard Drive

    BW: 100 Mbps / 8,000 GB

    IP: 2 Public IP Addresses

    For $19.95/month

And they used to provide 250 GB additional for a one-time setup fee until a while back, now they have only 1 TB on the page though. But you'd be ready to accept a loss on the setup fee, as you get a $5 margin on the server monthly for nothing.

  • agentmishraagentmishra Member, Host Rep

    you have it there @dhamaniasad

you have quoted by your self, what i am giving and what volumedrive is giving are totally different.

sir, you are free to check/re-check/cross-check

and you can take the services from where ever you feel satisfied...

and yes if the way of presentation is same dosent mean its both the same thing.

any ways i do not want to argue, you have yourself mentioned, both are different products (mine has a 250gb hdd and volumedrive isnt having it).

i have my way of going about.

when a person PM's me, i ask the config and then quote the rate, if it suits both of us we go ahead.

even if this conversation takes say around 8-10 replies from both the parties, rather than making the post thread messy, i prefer being over a PM, it may sound wrong to others, but chill :/ this is what i do in PM or over skype.

    haha

any ways dodgy is personal perception, never mind.
