Need Ultra-Affordable VPS' 0.5-2GB Europe

Hi,

we are hobbyists located in Germany, we used to own (yesterday...) 3 VPS' from QuadHost (2x 512mb, 1x 1gb (all from UK))

currently quadhost is gone, like gone gone, so we need an replacement asap (discord bots down, API down... etc)

We are looking for 2 or 3 VPS' in Europe (Poland, England, Germany preferably)
1.5gb RAM in total (so 2x 1gb or 3x 512mb or 1x 2gb + 1x 512mb)
15gb storage minimum (preferably 25gb SSD storage each)
200gb or more bandwidth (happily 1tb)
1x ipv4
virtualization, any, or dedicated (more below)
ubuntu 16.04 LTS or higher (preferably ubuntu 20.04 LTS)

they don't have to be same, could be mixed (companies as well)... I don't have specific requirements except 1x ipv4 and Europe)

price:
ultracheap, im a jobless (thanks 2020)
2.50$ a month (per 1) is absolute maximum
preferably 10-20$ a year per 1 vps
we are not going to max them out anyways, most of the bots have low CPU usage (but high ram), the API gets accessed not a lot, we know it's all shared and fair use.

Let me know what you can offer, we are happy to even accept sponsorship or similar (our community is small tho)

Thanks,

Matti from The Chemical Workshop

Indeed, sorry, was too focused on the RAM part. Edited the post and replaced it with a larger package that probably fits OPs requirements better.

  • @Unbelievable said: You can get 2 free vps from oracle

hmmm... i'll see about that, thanks!

@marvel said: Do you need IPv4 or would you consider a NAT VPS?

i sadly need IPv4, i used to use NAT but since i plan running stuff on port 80 i do need it...
    thanks for offer tho !

    @marvel said: 7 GB disk

15 is minimum as i need anaconda/miniconda and sadly it eats space...
    .
I read every comment, thanks for the offers, keep them comming !
QuadHost returned (somehow?) but i'm looking for a alternative as i dont trust them anymore :(

I'll let you know once i order and what i ordered (for whoever reads this in future)

  • @DeadlyChemist said: i sadly need IPv4, i used to use NAT but since i plan running stuff on port 80 i do need it...

If it's a standard webserver, most of the NAT providers here will proxy it based on hostname to your container, and you can also use IPv6 or cloudflare with security settings turned off and tls turned off for a free v4 -> v6.

yes, well it's a simple API in flask...
but then I don't really wanna bother with the NAT and setting this up, im just lazy, even stuff like specifying/remembering port for SSH...
oh and i'm not fan of cloudflare :(

but thanks for reminder ! :)

  • @DeadlyChemist said: but then I don't really wanna bother with the NAT and setting this up

all you have to do is listen on a port and then enter hostname on control panel of vps provider if it's that simple api

  • Also check scaleway, they have a cheap instances that are builled hourly and cost 1.8EUR/month

    https://www.scaleway.com/en/stardust-instances/

  • @Jio said: all you have to do is listen on a port and then enter hostname on control panel of vps provider if it's that simple api

oh... if this is that easy i might actually look into it... hmm
but then im also too lazy and paying extra for non NAT isnt that much...

@msallak1 said: Also check scaleway, they have a cheap instances that are builled hourly and cost 1.8EUR/month

I'll ! but on first look looks like i cant afford :(

I like very random, I want to see how very random this collective is, and join them if they’re random enough.

  • @Nekki said: Tell me what the most very random thing you’ve done is.

make some potassium cyanide, convert it over to prussian blue, dye stuff blue with it
next day go to shop to pick up flower, baking powder, sugar and other supplies... troll everyone im making a cake, mix it together, put it in a pot, drill a hole, insert torch, melt aluminium, melt it and make nuggets/muffins
the next day try to write a discord bot on esp3266 and micropython

@Jio said: Nekki is suddenly disappointed you don't make acid or similar

Have you looked at RackNerd Amsterdam offers? ($14.38 or $22.38/year for 1GB or 2.5GB) No affiliation, just what seems to be the most advantageous offer right now. I just picked them.
Did you pick the VPS already?
