  • Will this help the YABs iperf3 tests !== "busy" ?

  • Are we still in the no rule period or just everyone give up about the rule ?

In my opininon, less rules gives more affordable deals.

Im not really interested in 30 USD dedi deals myself since at best I can get 40 USD worth setup with it.. Now if we increase price to 130 USD/m, deals in that range usually cost 200 USD or more without discount.. Now thats a deal if anything.

For VPS servers, there should be strict pricing rules since otherwise this site gets spammed with not so lowend offers, since everyone would want to spam sales threads of super expensive VPS servers.

It's a bit odd though when you get butchered for posting a €9.50 VPS which doesn't fit the $7 rule and this guy posts a £800/month dedi offer and it's no problem. You would think the rules apply to everybody.

    @SCAM_DONT_BUY any comments to this?

Fair enough.. rules should be the same to everyone. that being said, whats the limit for dedi offers?

even better would be now rules, if theres an actual thing that brings added value to the product.

  • Another compromise would be: You must include one product that fits into 7 USD rule but you can use the same sales thread to show more expensive stuff that has more functionality in case user wants to upgrade. i.e full product range.

I'm waiting Clouvider cut down the £800 one to $84/month like you did ;)

That would probably be subject to abuse. Providers could just post a $2 vps with just 1 on stock at the very bottom of the page ;)

If you see something is wrong or against the rules, just flag it.

We’ve clearly been a little too excited to release them, it was already self flagged yesterday asking to bin the thread. Sorry about that.

Yes, we use paid peering with Liberty Global where necessary to get around congestion they have with transit networks - where this is not necessary, the traffic goes via best available path - it doesn't make sense for our Customers to overpay to Liberty who charges several times more than transit for paid peering ;-).

You had still time to update yourself.

  • Technically it is correct they peer with Liberty Global but only in London.

    From home to London:
    AS5089 (Virgin Media)
    AS6830 (UPC)
    AS62240(Clouvider)

    To every other locations:
    AS5089 (Virgin Media)
    AS1299(Telia)
    AS62240(Clouvider)

  • @Razza said: AS5089 (Virgin Media)

I think AS6830 should be in between those two anyway :p

Sorry if this is a noob question. But title says 10Gbit. But later it says 1Gbit. Which one is true?

  • @marvel said: @SCAM_DONT_BUY any comments to this?

This topic is nothing more than Clouvider trying to compete with MzunguHosting's Elephant VPS package, and you can clearly see they are struggling to maintain their quality and prices. ;)

If someone orders the Elephant 5 which is exactly the same as Elephant 4, they're a goddamn idiot. This is Cloud at Cost level pricing.

Mighty high prices to be fucking up details. Not like $2.80 vs $8.00...

Edit: Elephant 4 is 1 Gigabit, not 10.
