[MaxKVM] Network Updates with Christmas and New Year Offers (2020)!

MaxKVMMaxKVM Member, Host Rep

Hello LET!

You might be happy to hear (if you are one of the people who has requested this feature countless times) that Internal Networking has finally been deployed on our global "cloud" KVM infrastructure. The MaxKVM Internal Network is now online wordwide and all KVMs are able to communicate over the private internal network in each individual datacenter (no matter the host node in the DC).

Since the main internal network spans all datacenters in the USA, all virtual machines in the Los Angeles, Dallas, and/or New York datacenters are able to communicate with each other using Internal IPs (though Amsterdam and Singapore internal networks are limited to their respective DCs).

Please feel welcome to ping/trace to and from Los Angeles, Dallas, and New York internal IPs using one of our Looking Glass pages:

http://lg.lax.maxkvm.net | Internal Test IP: 172.16.0.10
http://lg.dfw.maxkvm.net | Internal Test IP: 172.17.0.10
http://lg.nyc.maxkvm.net | Internal Test IP: 172.18.0.10

While you're there, try out the new "screenshot" and "ttfb" commands. These were useful for us to diagnose geographic network and other technical issues while we configured a new anycast HA cluster for maxkvm.com, so we thought these features might also be helpful to some of you.

Internal Networking is available to all current and new subscribers. Please open a ticket and we will configure your system(s) on the internal network ASAP!

What new feature should we deploy next? Comment or send a PM

Now that all the boring info is out of the way, let's talk about Rampart..

HOLIDAY DISCOUNTS!

image

From now until 1/1/21, we will have new promotions every single day that activate automatically every 24 hours. The promotion code is the date and you will need to search through different products with different billing cycles to find the daily discount.

As an example, today's promotional code is 12-18-2020 (for 30% off the SKVM-** on *** billing cycle) and tomorrow's code is 12-19-2020 (but you will need to find the discounted service.) The next day's code will be 12-20-2020, and this will continue until the end of 1/1/21 (PST).

Some of these offers are massive recurring discounts and will be extremely limited. Good luck!

We also have 3 custom KVM plans (including a new 256M plan) to offer along with our existing lineup between now and 1/1/21:

Note:
If you noticed that our site was offline in the past week or so, we have completely migrated away from Cloudflare DNS/Proxy/Caching and replaced it with... Cloudflare (Magic Transit). The maxkvm.com site is now running with triple replication and optimizations for High Availability. Thank you for your patience in the few moments the main website was offline in the past week. We may have over-engineered this project and there were a few bugs to iron out, but everything is running extremely well now. :)

Note:
Our current users will report that we are incredibly responsive to support requests and that we monitor our systems very closely. Many have heard from us and have had their system(s) interrupted and/or suspended due to resource abuse. Please understand all the resources in these plans are fair share and although machines can always burst to use 100% of allocated resources, systems detected running with a constant 100% utilization of CPU, Disk I/O, and/or Network could be issued a power cycle, hard shutdown, and/or suspension with or without prior notice depending on the severity of abuse. Communication detailing the reason(s) for interruption will always be sent. These rules and procedures are in place to ensure uptime and performance for all guest systems and host services. More information can be found in our Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy.

Payment Options:
We offer a wide array of payment options for both local (US based) and international customers. PayPal, Bitcoin, Stripe, Alipay, QIWI, SOFORT, Webmoney, Yandex.Money, Banamex, Bancomer, Bancontact, Boleto, DOKU, eNets, EPS, Globe GCash, iDeal, MyBank, Multibanco, Onecard, OXXO, PayU, and Przelewy24 (P24) are all currently accepted.

Singapore is out of stock until we can free up some space or get new machines over there - whichever comes first. It will definitely be available for NYE (and maybe Christmas Day), though. :)

  • Why there is an ADD35 coupon 😂

Ah, this is designed for the people that can't read, can't math, and/or just appreciate great service and want to pay extra. There's also HOSTLOC50. B)

  • I highly recommend these guys. Their customer service is extremely fast and very good. I have had a SKVM-4G-2CPU in Dallas since July and it has been flawless and very fast. Current benchmark below.

I consider referring to VPS as fragrant to be discriminatory because I lost my sense of smell due to covid

  • Can you sell your services at a high price when you are abroad because you don't know the local language?
We all know that hostloc is a forum for Chinese people, and because Chinese people can't read it, they can sell it at a high price. Isn't that racist?

Governments do that all the time. They call it import duty or taxes. Does that mean all governments are racist?

Can I call Hostloc as racist because I cannot read the language and google translate sucks?

Anyways, back to the offer thread beause it it getting derailed.

I give 5 stars to @maxkvm for awesome service, and helpful attitude.
Was getting 3x-4x slower speeds from Singapore to my location, than I typically get, due to routing issue.

Over a month, after some back and forth and follow up with their upstream, the issue was resolved. Some may say "OMG one month!" I say,
    "Wow, for one customer?"

Totally your call on how to interpret it.

Well, you kinda fucked yourself, you know.
A lot of fraud comes from china, so what do you expect?

    1. People block everything from china entirely from buying anything
    2. He did choose the troll route, kinda unique
    3. They do allow orders but strictly fraud check them

Just look at virmach, people are Reselling 3$/y VPS accounts.

This simply does not make sense, if you say there is no problem with import duties,
But there is no import tax on normal purchases with coupons?
    How do you explain this?

No one ask you to use the ADD35/50 code, it is there just for the entertainment purpose. If you don't use any code at all, the price is the same as others, right?

Moreover, I don't think you should purchase something that you don't understand what it is about. If you can't even understand the numbers that are being shown in the cart, I am pretty sure you didn't understand the Terms of Services as well.

By the way, the definition of racist from Cambridge dictionary is:

someone who believes that their race makes them better, more intelligent, more moral, etc. than people of other races and who does or says unfair or harmful things as a result

This is in NO WAY related to racist, please don't be so sensitive.

Yes. Some offers are limited so they are selling at below cost, isn't it better if the additional profits from reselling are on the provider's hand?

Does reselling an account violate any treaties?

Yes. There's additional operation cost that needs to support the "new" client, also it is hard for the provider to know whether the account is being hacked, or is being resold.

This is still excluding the fact that all providers require your contact information, email addresses and personal details to be UP TO DATE and CORRECT at all time, because there's a liability when you RENT a service from others. When you resell the account, I am 99% sure you only change the email address and nothing else.

Does virmach state that reselling accounts is not allowed?

I am not exactly sure on this, but similar reason as above.

5 years ago I bought TinyVZ and found it's too slow for serving China Telecom, so I sold my account to a classmate. Now I'm worried...
I did change the email and all other information to his information.

If an Asian fails to do basic math, the end ain’t neigh no more. The end is here.

    Asians are good at math.
MJJs are good at opening duplicate tickets and PayPal disputes. MJJs do not represent all of Chinese or Asians.
WHMCS and LET should have a MJJ detection algorithm, and automatically apply HOSTLOC50 coupon for them.

I'm from China. I'm good at math. I don't open more than one ticket for the same incident. I don't open a ticket until I have read relevant Linux manpages and provider's knowledgebase (but KB is lacking at many providers).

Using their SG location, it's a prem 😊❤️. Had renewed for 2yrs.

One of the good providers in LET.

I heard about MaxKVM in 2020-July and signed up at Singapore in 2020-August.
I canceled this box last month to make room for those who need it more. It's scarce resource so I should not keep it underutilized. I can encode my push-ups in other locations.

Don't worry about MJJs invading MaxKVM Singapore though. China routing is going through USA, so that the Singapore location cannot serve China visitors.

  • Has anyone actually used those coupons to pay🤣?

    Thanked by 1MaxKVM
