    Hi,

    Ok i try

  • vserversitevserversite Member, Host Rep

    Dont can recover that. I create an clean VM with same settings and see here no issue. Please open then an support ticket

  • Been struggling with it last year but the performance was really bad, takes 5 minutes to respond to apt update then an hour to finish, contacted support for 2 months but nothing has changed.

  • Having "KVM mini" for about half year. Running stable, no downtime, good support, overall satisfied. Just one thing:

    For a small-storage vps it is worth do deploy it without swap partition. Sacrificing 1GB out of 5GB is too much. Leave this up to user. Ultimately, it is not that difficult to set up file-swap, or zswap/zram...

  • Can we get more space with HDD ?

  • vserversitevserversite Member, Host Rep

    Hi,

    just a few sentences from us. That Servers deployed in Düsseldorf, there we have other hostnodes and Performance. The SSD Speed will be much better here. But: in our small levels we limit speed like all other Providers.

    Additional SSD too is passable, here please open an ticket to our support.

  • Ping from Deutsche Telekom is pretty bad.

    You don't have direct peering with Deutsche Telekom?

  • @tr1cky said: You don't have direct peering with Deutsche Telekom?

    I can't speak for vserver, but dtag are biggest huge assholes and refuse to peer anyone at all other than you buy transit from them

    @tr1cky said: pretty bad.

    How many ms do you get? Mind sharing a mtr?

  • dfroedfroe Member, Host Rep

    Like already mentioned DTAG doesn't peer like others, only via expensive private peerings.

    One of vServer.site's upstream carriers (LWLcom) has such a private peering with DTAG, but only in Hamburg. Thus the downside is that traffic needs to be routed from your server in FRA/DUS to Hamburg first. Which adds some latency, but is a good compromise to at least get a good peering.

    If you are a DTAG customer yourself, I can only recommend considering to switch your ISP. Basically all others in Germany (1&1 Versatel, Vodafone, o2 Telefonica, easybell ecotel), they all have open peerings at DE-CIX where most German traffic is directly exchanged between carriers. Of course also vServer.site has good connectivity with low latency to DE-CIX as well. ;)

    @dfroe said: Vodafone

    We're getting a bit offtopic, but I'd like to mention that Vodafone recently abandoned most of their local peering points (Hamburg, Berlin, Munich, for example), so all traffic gets forwarded to FRA, DUS, AMS before being handed over. That said, the peering between @vserversite in DUS and Vodafone is quite good :)

    Excuse me.
    Is BGP supported to broadcast its own IPV6?

    The pricing plan who designed it has no planning idea.

    If 1 vCPU Core, 1 GB RAM, 5 GB SSD costs 12 Euro/Year, then how just directly doubling the resources 2 vCPU Core, 2 GB RAM, 10 GB SSD, it can costs 3 Euro x 12 = 36 Euro (3x). What if a customer gets the Mini Plan 2x, he will pay 12 Euro less for the same resource.

    And, also, what can people do with 5 GB Space in real world ?? If it could 10GB, it could be usable. Even, DirectAdmin/CyberPanel/aaPanel will take 3-4 GB Space.

    Hi,

    normally the Mini Level cost € 1,50 monthly - over an year, its 50% of the Ultra Level. This is an promo.

    For the other question: Customer use that Level for Proxies (e.g to watch netflix or any other), for that case the SSD Space enougt.
