What BF2019 are you renewing this year?

What deals did you get that were so good last year you will not be letting them go?

I'm keeping an $20 8 core Virmach that has been super solid and a $17.88/yr OVH VPS SSD in their U.S. location (Vint Hill.)

    • A ton of NAT VPS with @mikho , @Cam and @AnthonySmith (If you don't have any yet, get some!)
    • @servarica_hani's amazing Mouse Storage plan. I sincerly hope they'll get upgraded to Gigabit network one day
    • a bunch of @VirMach KVM VPS. Why's there so little love for Virmach these days?
    • and my rock-solid, blazing-fast Germany KVM from @SpeedBus
    Thanked by 2Cam SpeedBus
  • Renewing @smallweb and @trewq flowvps BF deals, never letting those go

A ton? I only have one.
$1 per year, and it comes with push-ups.
Invoice hasn't arrived yet, but I plan on renewing.

Within 128MB memory, I'm only running one service at the moment: a network probe written in Go.
There's still 50MB memory left, so I can pack in a second service in there.

@JoeMerit great thread idea. I hope more people share their answers.

  • A bunch of Virmach VPS at crazy price. Too lazy to list them. I don't think I have anymore any BF from other provider.

I am renewing my BF2017 deal with ITL:

    10GB SSD Storage
    1GB ECC RAM
    1 Xeon Core
    Unlimited traffic

13€/year. Not very likely that deals like this from reliable European providers will happen again.

    Thanked by 1DA_Mark
  • in any case my old yourserver deal for 20€ per year. still satisfied with the support and server. 2 small idle vps on a yearly basis including ipv4 will also be renewed

  • 1) The Virmach VPS where I host my website ($8.95/y).
    2) The Virmach VPS that I use as a VPN ($5/y)
    3) The Virmach VPS that I use as a Windows remote desktop USA ($18/y)
    4) My VPS with NetCup that I use as a Windows remote desktop DE (€74/y)
    5) My e-mail plan with MXRoute ($5/y)

  • virmach $8.92/y, only have 512M RAM, not best but worth keeping

  • I am renewing BF2019 deal from @gleert :

    1 GB RAM
    1 CPU Core
    20 GB SSD
    1 TB Traffic
    1 Gbps port speed
    1 IPv4
    /64 IPv6

12€/year, it's EPYC and network is solid as close to a dedicated port.

It was a very limited promotion from Virmach with the following specifications:

    Processor: 4vCore
    Memory: 8GB RAM
    Storage: 100 GB SSD

But a Windows remote desktop works well with:

    Processor: 2vCore
    Memory: 2GB RAM
    Storage: 40 GB SSD

  • My laziness is going to make me renew everything. Let's see how many more dealz I'm not going to resist this coming BF.

    Processor: 8vCore
    Memory: 8GB RAM
    Storage: 80 GB SSD
    8 ipv4

Yes, I received it on a transfer.

I believe he did not want to involve in this forum anymore.

I have taken several BF deals from gullo/cam, but sadly he jacked up the prices by over 100% for renewal with no added value, so I won't be renewing them.

"Yes, Unfortunately when the cost of the control panels increased drastically I was forced to increase price and switch panels. "

In my experience with other hosts, it has been one or the other, or most commonly, neither. My account has been moved to DA AND the price increased (more than 100%).

Not a big deal, I get the impression gullo/cam wants out of the shared hosting business anyway and to stick with VPS's.

Just saying that recurring discount doesnt always mean recurring...

  • bit of topic, does oneprovider do bf deals for their dedicated servers?

actually price with the old coupon is 21,78€

My $3/year VPS from Virmach is a keeper. Other notable renewals would be a storage vps from liteserver as well as some hosthatch and netcup deals together with mxroute.

I believe his upstream provider cancelled all discount. If he was paying the same as mine, it is a 500% cost raise.

If both of you could post..
What was the initial price and the new one?

  • I renewed it all:

    • from @Virmach all 4 2019 VPS
    • from @servarica_hani 2 2019 storage VPS
    • 1 storage VPS from HostHatch
    • 1 storage premium package from 1Fichier
    • from MXRoute @jar the 2018 offer of the other board (even though now I prefer getting cheaper plans from resellers)
    • 2 VPS with great uptime from 2016 offer of Vstoike @Veesp
    • 2 dedicated from Kimsufi 2017 Cyber Monday - Emma Watson edition
