    I also wonder what a miracle these still cryings "experts/artists" are doing when read/write from 150+MB/sec is "so slow and not enough" for them..
    Who knows?.. But sure it must be something AWESOME! :smiley:
    But in each case - thanks for sharing bench!

    I'm pretty sure they are not dedicated. More of 'I wouldn't care if you use 100% any time'?
    Anyway, I do have a 2 intel dedicated cores VPS with them, and haven't had any issue on CPU.

    I know, thing is, this is my "slowest" Nvme driven vps. So that is kinda strange for a complete new instance. I have Nvme drives (all shared) that are doing 2 to 4k iops. Not saying this is bad, but for a brand new machine... I think It could be even better. But let's wait and see what George can do about it.

    @royed
    What @Falzo meant (and I think there is the problem with 1 Gbps vs 1GB/s) is that, as we can see from your yabs you get up to 75k iops with a 4k blocksize and 1 GB/s with a larger blocksize (1M)

    In terms of iops as per the 4k bs you get a very high amount of iops. At least I would say so

    In terms of xByte/s per the 1M bs you also get a very good result, though, it is certainly possible to receive a higher number with other servers/providers. The question is, do you need/use and pay for such higher numbers?

    Nevertheless, this is definitely not a "slow" nvme, and for a shared environment an absolute acceptable and good value imo

    That I understand, but for a new box (and we see alot of new ryzen/Epyc boxes around nowadays). Some other host are getting faster results. Of course we are always looking to optimize things, so maybe George can also.

    But indeed, it's very respectable at the moment!

  • I think it's a VMware issue if anything, I see vmtool is not installed, you can look deeper into what's going on with that

  • If these are not dedicated cores... why the offer says so... false advertising leads to flimsy repuatation

    In the Geekbench benchmark of the Ryzen machine I see a score for the CPU that is pretty much spot on, don't you?
