Video for the younger gen:

Dear Friends and Families,

Hope is all is well. Today, the fine first day of October (Tokyo Time), we (Nexus Bytes LLC) are happy to announce that our Tokyo, Japan location is officially open for business! Get your favorite AMD Ryzen CPU and NVME Disk powered, Fast and Furious KVM VPS straight out of Godzillas most favorite place, Tokyo, Japan!

Wait a second, you said no more expansion? Did you lie? Shame on you!!

I would never do that! We are still operating out of 7 different locations, just like we did before posting this thread. What changed was, we discontinued Utah, (simply due to the lack of demand and some strange connectivity issue). We simply shifted resources around to ensure things are fitting our companies focus and vision :).

Why Tokyo, Japan?

Tokyo is home to one of the Asia's most diverse and large digital ecosystem, with many network and cloud service providers, as well as major internet and peering exchanges.

Due to its geographical positioning and awesome peering, Nexus Bytes Tokyo, Japan location is an optimal location for those, who seeks fast and optimal, yet affordable connectivity and hosting solution within the North East Asian connectivity.

It's time for celebration:

To celebrate the launch of the TOKYO location we are offering DOUBLE storage and DOUBLE BANDWIDTH for our Tokyo location.

  • Double Storage when you pay for 6 months or more
  • Double Monthly Bandwidth when you pay for 12 months or more

If you are so weak already, you wallet will be dead on BF if @seriesn drops any deal.

@seriesn in your ToS you have "NewYork" instead of "New York". Just busting your balls. :p
    Keep up the awesome work!

  • Welcome to Japan!

  • Great to see a reputable provider expanding to Tokyo!

The only thing is that 250GB bandwidth per 1GB memory (with non-annual commitment) is quite low. Some questions:

    • How is it metered: outbound only or both outbound and inbound?
    • What will happen to the server when the limit is exceeded?
    • What is the pricing for additional bandwidth in Tokyo?

Your website mentions "Additional Bandwidth $2.00*/month/1 TB (*: With Annual Payments)", but that sounds too good to be true (the page doesn't look updated since the expansion to Asian locations) and I don't get what the note means.

<3. Thank you for the vote of confidence fam! It means a lot <3.

@udonworld said: The only thing is that 250GB bandwidth per 1GB memory (with non-annual commitment) is quite low. Some questions:

Sadly this is one of those scenarios, where everything else is cheaper than bandwidth (APAC) :(. We have a 0 overselling policy. While bandwidth is and has been the least cause of concern for a bigger % of our family members (non VPN related activity), some do bring this up from time to time. We are always happy to work something out, that makes sense. For you and us :)

How is it metered: outbound only or both outbound and inbound?

As of right now, both direction.

What will happen to the server when the limit is exceeded?

To prevent any unwanted overage billing, once monthly Bandwidth transfer limit is exceeded, we suspend any network activities. Usually an email is sent when 90% of bandwidth is all used up :)

What is the pricing for additional bandwidth in Tokyo?

    Great catch boss! Updated.
"*" Means annual commitment. APAC bandwidth upgrades are billed at $5/TB/month with annual commitment or $6/month, with no commitment. Upgradable within the client area :)
