Careful everyone. If your site has only slightly higher traffic or CPU usage, they will cancel your account and send you on your way with just a backup of the files. No refund or notification.

We resell from various locations and have some of our own Hetzner/OVH servers.

I don't know which account yours is, but most shared hosts will also have some policy of X amount of resources used for X amount of hours. All it takes is a kiddy script to max a poorly optimized Wordpress account to hit to max CPU/RAM usage for hours until one disables that account.

and your response to that is to cancel the account? yikes.

inb4 you get what you pay for... I pay less to some providers and they would not do that.

    Hi

As mentioned before I don’t know what account was cancelled and the full reason it was cancelled.

We provided him a full cpanel backup and we have done pro rated refunds other users and he can request for one if he wants.

This is because Hostkoala resells Hostmantis shared hosting (from OVH/Hetzner) in many locations, except Vegas and Atlanta where they resell BuyShared and Ramnodet, And Hostmantis is quite popular for cancelling your account just for few CPU spikes here and there (read their TOS), and yes they'll (or may) cancel without notification. So whatever an upstream provider takes action is followed by their reseller.

Not all hosting providers disable the account for loading kiddy WP scripts or plugins. There are many lenient providers both LE and premium ones who will work with the site owner to check/remove/modify such script and allow the account to be active. Yes, of-course if multiple similar instances occur then host can disable an account. But not on 1 or 2 instances.
