Dubox: 1TB cloud storage for free, unlimited up/down speed

I have tested, it's fast at current, no special limitation, no ADs.
free 1TB storage can save some money, if you don't store important stuff on them.
it's a service provided by baidu, take a look at this link:
https://pandayoo.com/2020/09/15/baidu-launches-overseas-1tbs-free-network-disk-dubox-but-you-have-to-be-careful-when-using-it/

Thanks but I'm not going to be trusting China with anything of value.

Also 50kb/s download rate. Oh joy.

This means that if you have stored a large amount of important materials (such as photos and home videos) on Baidu Netdisk, you will have to buy vip members of Baidu Netdisk to get them back. This strategy is rated as “kidnapping sales” by Chinese netizens.

    ...

in the future, it may limit the download speed, which can only be unlocked by buying subscription

That article is quite negative, but even then, G Suite literally costs $12/month for unlimited storage, and you know it works... Save some sanity for the price of only 3 cups of coffee.

No option to signup with email only.. Perhaps its to combat abuse, but still a bit disappointing.

That's correct but would you trust other countries having access to all of your data? Considering what Snowden has revealed being done with the data?

  • At least, in China they don’t sell your data to making money.

I also haven’t found any user data leaking from China, considering it’s a safest place on earth for storing your digital data.

And, I don’t think you guys put all importance data to the cloud.

NO, they do. Baidu is considered Immoral in China by Chinese public. Its CEO even said " Chinese dont care about their privacy, and what they want is convient ". The fact is Chinese people in China have no CHOICE if they want using services. You dont provided Phone number, the app stops, this happens in Baidu's, Ali‘s taobao and alipay, wehcat and QQ.

And now you said [ At least, in China they don’t sell your data to making money ], have you ever being in China?

Porn leak is user problem :( Don't blame your government...

It's your choose to use any service, I just add my opinion about privacy.

  • It is safe, but only for backup of linux iso, nothing else.

Don’t they cost that on every Starbucks? Americano (Black Coffee) here costs 4100KRW (~$3.5) on all major coffee shops

True, but as far as I know Google hasn't enforced that yet. So as it stands you only need one business user for unlimited storage.
