  • Please also make some Kimsufi deals.

So the Rise-LE-3 would have been fine if you could switch the disks from hdd to ssd, or add disks. In other words: have options. But that's what I'm missing at ovh in general: more flexible disk options for all kind of servers.

Those are limited edition, so indeed its not flexible configurations.

Most of the past (last year) Rise LE promo are quite attractive with SSD/NVMe and better CPU. But for last 2-3 promotion are just HDD/quite old cpu.

Has to be your first project within OVHcloud. Is it the case ?

That’s a shame. You’ve not had any 🇬🇧 offers since Black Friday if I recall. Must be the more popular one.

Ah, I already have an existing project. I guess that's why - thanks.

A reliable and safe solution with the most efficient malware protection.

Why are you protecting malware? -_-

    Any monthly Bandwidth limitations?

And are your dedicated servers as sensitive to triggering the anti DDoS as your VPS are?
I tried OVH for VPS before and, even though I upgraded to a high tier (8C, 16GB, 320GB, 2Gbps), I found that if I had the VPS downloading some files it would quickly trigger and drop my speed to like 7Mbps max.

There's no real bandwidth limitation on dedicated servers. Only thing is the servers that come with burst (like Infra). Those have 2Gbps burst which gets disabled if you use that too much. You'll be locked until your next billing period to 1Gbps. The promotional servers are, most likely, locked to 500mbps so you can't go higher than that, but you can use it to your hearts content.

  • Hi @ninzo59,

I am very interested in the Best value range. However, it's only available in the US website. Does Paypal available in US? I see that I have only credit card payment option.

    Hello,

OVHcloud US is a separated entity from Europe. I don't really know. I presume that if you don't see the option, means its not available..

    Sorry, ninzo.

I would buy the E3-SSD-1-32 (Intel Xeon E3-1245v2) with the 500MBps upgrade and maybe shave a few bucks off the top. One can dream!!!

Depends on which location. Can you share the bench here?

Since I need to download a 200GB file from Hetzner's server, I find the speed is not right

I just tested (Upload/Download) it using Hetzner's server (Germany).

My Sys's server location is Canada
