+1 for MxRoute, Quite Stable and cheap

  • @jar Oh, come on! i didn't expect such a lengthy response :)

from my mailgun, i send around 300 mails everymonth, out of which 200+ comes to my email only and very few goes to others like on avg, 5 ppl signs up at our site for which i send welcome mail.

and i am using their service for more than 4years and i was charged just ~$10 only once, thats why i said it is better to pay than being suspended and my post is not at all related at your or your service.

@deank probably you are right but since i spent $10, i wrote above statement.

Shit, mailgun stop offer 10k free mails, and now, some similar alternative to redirect emails to gmail etc?

So curious, are they going to grandfather existing users?

No, they aren’t. That’s the worst part

    I see in the dashboard:

    Plan Concept
    Emails sent 0 of 10K

1st March, the shift to paid plan shall happen..

  • Oh that's bad. I don't use them anyway. Sendgrid works fine for me.

  • SES would be my suggestion

  • I already have an MXroute account just don't use it as my primary, so for me that's the best option.

  • How much does mxroute cost these days?

    Congrats on your first post

  • Is this just for new accounts or all accounts? Meaning for accounts before today will still have the free 10.000 emails/month?

It's affected all account except free Google promo plan.

  • So anyone successfully tried migrating to the Google promo plan? Also use them for very low volume email notifications along with few clients.

  • @dtoker i had a 10k olda free plan with example.com and example2.com domain.
    Login email [email protected].

I removed domains from account, and request account cancellation, then I register new google promo account with [email protected] and add domain2.com

    This method work.

I don't try register new google promo account with domain1.com.

Those who compare MXroute with mailgun... Are you all aware of the fact that mailgun is 'transactional mail' provider where MXroute - not?

MXroute is not proper alternative to mailgun for transactional emails! Better would be Amazon SES, and even than, you don't have all features which are in mailgun (stats, bounce management etc.).

Sendgrid is also a good alternative for mailgun.

  • You are exactly right. However, I was using Mailgun for just receiving emails! Haha

Well, what would you do with the incoming mail ?

If you forward the incoming mail to your inbox, they charge you for that.

Mailgun can store incoming messages temporarily, and I can check them from "Logs" or via API

  • Giving Sendgrid a try. Hopefully it'll be a good one.

  • Glad I had two accounts using the Google code.

Correct. Though, to be fair, plenty do use it for transactional. It's just not a strictly transactional service and lacks the interface/logging features that are common to transactional providers.

  • i try signup to /google mailgun concept, but his blocked the new signatures

Your account is temporarily disabled. ( Business Verification. Please contact support ) Please contact support to resolve.

  • @rafaelscs Interesting, i use without any issue.

  • already update CC on mailgun, its still free 5k email and $0.8/1k email is reasonable and not complain about that.
