OVH love this first month crap.

Hello @Gravely, this first month half-price is a good way to try a Dedicated Server in the Asia-Pacific region for new clients mainly. The monthly price rental is already very competitive for this part of the world.
The good news this month for the ANZ and ASIA regions is more on the (re)launch of VPS SSD in both the Sydney and Singapore datacenters with snapshot and additionatl disk options too! ---> https://www.ovh.com/vps/

  • Any Strasbourg deal?

  • Anyone got a bench/nench of the Infra-1,2,3 range?

I don't think any additional discount except setup fees.

  • rm_rm_ IPv6 Advocate, Veteran

Nobody notices or cares that they offer a .best domain free for a year (one per user)? Granted the extension is stupid, the renewal is 17.99 EUR, and it's even on sale for 0.99 EUR outside of the BF, still this seems to be the most notable thing of the entire sale (probably saying something about the rest of it...)

    Thanked by 1Shot2
  • The least crappy of the crappy crap indeed.

  • I'm glad I didn't buy that Singapore VPS with a 1-year subscription, poor performance @OVH_APAC

First of all, great offers! I sent a message to support too but perhaps it's easier here. I own a formally registered company and used the information with that to sign up. With that comes being exempt from sales tax such as VAT. However the order still wants to charge me VAT. Do you know if this will be removed later on?

For APAC VPS, how is the bandwidth calculated? Is in only outgoing?

    Thank you

Hello @caracal, the bandwitdh of VPS SSD is at 100 Mbps and the quota for SYD and SGP is based on a fair usage. We control the outgoing traffic and you will see your bandwith reduce to 10Mbps if we see abusive usage. Hope this helps.

  • @ninzo59 @OVH_APAC Why aren't the infra-1 thru 3 showing up as free setup fees? They are on the page marked as "Black Friday no setup fee" but on the order page they still show up as 79,99 Setup fee?

@ninzo59 @OVH_APAC Same here. I also get setup fees for Rise-BF-2 when redirected to ovh-hosting.fi upon login. Can you fix this or provide us code to remove setup fees? I'm not buying if others don't have to pay for setup fees but I would need to.

your ordering website is broken. Completely different price on checkout.

And then the price changes to 136€

  • This is how it is for me.

  • @ninzo59 That doesn't sound right for setup fees stuff. May be you can give us better LET deal.. hahahha

I asked from their support. They did not create Black Friday offers for all regions. @ninzo59

Is OVH really this lowlife? You advertise these deals to everyone but have different price for some people. This breaks LET rules so please fix asap.

    Hello.

Because of stock issues we just removed Infra from "no setup fees" offers. Sorry, couldn't post it before.

We opened the offers for all countries except CZ LT SN FI.

  • @ninzo59 why didnt you have a disclaimer ”limited stock” then? Thats crappy

Why not in FI? Can't you add it along with CZ LT SN or is there some special reason why we have to pay double compared to others?

@mods Some regions have to pay double price. There was no specific message about this when the offer was made. why is OVH allowed to break offers rules?

Only post offers that are under $84/month recurring.
    No setup fees.

Its advertised at that pricing for everyone, except its not. should be considered as shilling at least if site rules do not apply on BF offers.

Yes im quite mad as we waited for these offers and are considering moving our servers elsewhere with my friends now.

@ninzo59 On the ovh.ie website the Infra is still showing as no setup fee for monthly payments but on the order page you slap on the setup fee. This BF is such a shitshow tbh.. no mention of limited stock, still showing as no setup fee while there is one...

@ninzo59 thanks for BF-3.. Now with NVMe except less RAM.

How to change NVMe? there's no option to change in order page.

You should be glad someone up there is watching out for you. OVH is only worth using for abusing their ddos protection or free IPs, else other hosts can offer everything else and do it better. This and this (https://www.lowendtalk.com/discussion/158739/ovh-double-bandwidth-guarantee-no-longer-guaranteed) are just a testimony of OVH being completely disconnected from the customer and doing whatever the f* they want.
