    • Is the discount recurring?
    • When ordering, does the discount automatically appear at the very end of the process? (Because it doesn't appear at the beginning of the process)
  • Just curious: does anyone have experience with vServer.site?

Network OK, disk OK, but I've seen better CPU power in a pocket calculator. Oh and 50% steal.

(edit: oh and their SolusVM panel lacks a few functions e.g. custom iso, their debian 10 template is messy due to PermitRootLogin=no - no big deal though, wishing them luck)

Nice to see they are also offering optional BGP sessions.
Not so nice they are charging double the cost of a whole VPS for it - every month (no one-time setup).
Otherwise would have been a nice additional little anycast dns node.

Oh, Interwek, brings up some good old memories.
Is there network management still outsourced to Accelerated?

We will have next week an Special BGP Addon with one time fee ;-)

No, there have self now ;-) but we use different upstreams, there are not only located there :-)

Hm, I must admit, you successfully caught my curiousity. ;)

Is that Special BGP addon to be ordered seperately, i.e. ordering the VPS today, the BGP session next week, and both will be combined?

I also saw the KVM Mini as a BF special on your website at only 12 EUR/year, but when adding it to the cart price shows up as 15 EUR. Can you correct that?
For small instances I prefer yearly payment in order to minimize administrative overhead (on both sides).

From the benchmarks and reviews posted yet, we doesn't seem to get best performance ever seen on LET (which nobody really expects at that price) but for small testing / playground environments, like dns or network troubleshooting (speedtests, mtr, monitoring) it looks quite interesting, especially because of the location in Frankfurt.

    Hi,

On the Second Step the Price will Updated, i have check this for sure.

For the BGP we must put this VM on an other Host, because there are in different Layer networks.

You can send us an message, before you pay, and we switch the VPS to the right host. We work actually at an Automation process for that.

Looks like some weired browser issue on my side. In a second attempt price was calculated properly but it looked like the whole website was loaded again where just the cart should be loaded. See https://i.imgur.com/4jrNBjo.png
However, besides the fact it looked a bit odd, order was accepted by WHMCS.
I left a notice in my order (invoice 20191122194) so you can prepare everything.

  • vserversitevserversite Member, Host Rep

    Received, thanks.
    Collegue work already on it

I just felt lucky, ordered a Mini KVM and first impression is really good. Setup went smoothly, noVNC worked perfectly fine. Solid performance, nothing extraordinary yet. However support was kind of a positive surprise. They replied quickly within minutes and no stupid question about technical basics. Compared to some other Summer Hosts this first impression feels more like German quality. :)

I am curious to see the BGP offer next week.
And let's see how this box will run on a long-term.
So far, thanks for the offers, monthly options for every budget as well as cheap yearly ones in the Serverbörse.

Is it me not getting the irony or you not getting the noVNC console? :D
They offer custom ISO installation, so there should be VNC access for everyone. ;)
If you are msising something, you may test their support.

  • vserversitevserversite Member, Host Rep

We have full VNC ;-) no worry

I'm not too familiar with SolusVM Virtualizor, probably missed the button for custom ISOs and VNC.

    edit: oops, Virtualizor indeed

  • vserversitevserversite Member, Host Rep

You get the Welcome Mail, in that are the Login to Virtualizor. Over that you manage ISO and VNC

Did not get any email from that company, and from the Korrespondenz messages, I see there's login info for another panel (not the one embedded) but unfortunately logging in there fails (and I can't reset the password or recover the info, because their mail delivery is misconfigured)

Anyway, that was just for testing the company while providing some early benchmark to the community. I won't waste my time nor theirs with such a cheap vps. tl;dr: Network okay-ish, panel/backend messy, CPU crap.

  • vserversitevserversite Member, Host Rep

    Thanks for your message
I dont know why you dont get the mails. My testmails to gmail come in.

We use Intel Xeon X CPUs, and limit on small levels the Usage.

  • Do you have plans to offer SSD, or is it unlikely on account of old hardware?

Aren't Xeon 5650s the same class of Core2Quads like the Q9650 CPUs?

    Can't wait for it... ;-)
