Tried this?
I believe he wants to download a public folder from not his own drive
Interesting, but this does not provide anything to download from an anonymous folder... Thnx.
Yes, exactly
I saw something in my travels that was the equivalent of wget but for shared gdrive links. I wish I could remember the name of it. Will report back if it comes back to me..
awesome, will be kool if you remember. Thnx.
I thought copying the file to your own Google Drive would let you bypass the download limit.

Have a look through that, it has the solution, however with the files like you've linked which are large and require confirmation, it's a bit different. I had a quick play with it but couldn't get magic, perhaps you have more time and can get it working.
Hopefully that helps you
It seems like most of the methods available are for individual files, rather than folders.
I have tried several methods but to no success

Can download entire public folders. If anyone can find one for OneDrive that'd be appreciated as well.
That's the one I saw! Thanks for sharing it
Voila!
Hey! I made one a while ago!
https://github.com/axzxc1236/SharepointDownloader

Does this also work for gdrive files that say download limit reached and try again tomorrow?
You would have to make a server-side copy to another Google Drive account and download from there.
Hey thanks a ton!
Oooh a nice python version. Doesn't seem to do the entire folder though?
This wont work also if owner of file doesnt allow sharing or copying? Thanks!
I don't think the owner can restrict not being allowed to copy. If you have read permissions (i.e. you can download a single file manually) you should be able to make a copy to your own google drive.
Its just i remember before, i made a copy of the file but i still couldnt play or download it. There was also an instance wherein the share option wasnt available.
How about for files marked as virus? You cant make a copy of that or use this?
Thanks!
Have you tried youtube-dl?
I think there is a way for rclone to copy shared with me folders. I just forgot where I read it from.
No. None of the solutions seem to work
I hope you remember soon
https://forum.rclone.org/t/drive-shared-with-me-and-server-side-copy/9664
I think this is it. Doing rclone copy using the flags for server side copy + shared with me.
--drive-server-side-across-configs
--drive-shared-with-me
hope that helps you.
Why? You don't have a Google account?
I have. But it does not have so much space free as opposed to the folder I am trying to download
Your Google Drive free space has nothing to do with the size of the folder you are trying to download.
If it's a public google drive folder and you have google account, you can easily download it with any desktop browser. It will compress the folder, which took a long time, but eventually it will start download the folder.
Another way to download folder is https://github.com/gdrive-org/gdrive
Both of them required you to have google account. But none of them require you to have any free space on Google Drive.
Not directly related to an answer, but AirExplorer is a great tool to manage cloud services.
