    I fully agree

  • Genuine question: this seems quite expensive when you're supplying the hardware and have to replace it if it fails, etc. Why go for this over renting a server? I'm assuming it's unique hardware requirements but struggling to see a large market who want that.

  • Anybody knows a cheap provider for 20U Rack (1/2 Rack) with max. 900 Watt Power? Location is not important, only uptime.

The main idea behind this discussion is to talk about Raspberry Pi colo. Can you offer this too?

  • Some more options (sadly i can not edit the original post any more):

    http://spectraip.net/
    https://nano-datacenter.com/

  • Would be interesting to know which of these support USB-C in their enclosures.

This server could not prove that it is nano-datacenter.com; its security certificate expired 48 days ago. This may be caused by a misconfiguration or an attacker intercepting your connection. Your computer's clock is currently set to Saturday, November 16, 2019. Does that look right? If not, you should correct your system's clock and then refresh this page.

    Not exactly inspiring confidence.

  • golden fast network / qword international

    *fyi location = jakarta, indonesia

  • @MarkLuun note that in your list of colo companies, the PiHost which hosts Raspberry Pi in Switzerland for example provides you directly with a Raspberry Pi so I guess that is not co-location but more of a mini dedicated server as you don't even need to send them your hardware, they provide you with it.

Yes, you are right. This was my mistake.

@MarkLuun thanks for the answer and no problem. I think your list is very good and exhaustive. In my specific case I was looking for a place where the company provides the Raspberry Pi, so the PiHost in Switzerland was a good match from your list. I can imagine that more people like me don't want to send the hardware but would rather have the hardware included by the hosting company.

  • @hostingnugg
In your case these could be interesting too:

    https://www.mythic-beasts.com/ UK
    https://www.buyapi.ca/ Canada
    https://easyserver.at Austria
    https://shop.finaltek.com/ CZ

All these can provide a Pi for your colo. And in case you need something stronger then a Raspberry Pi i should be able to help.

  • Is anyone able to list the prices on the thread itself for easier viewing? TIA

Would be a nice idea but i am not able to edit it any more. Very sad as i wanted to keep it actual.

Ask if the moderators are able to unlock it for you. They might be able to let you edit it again..

  • @MarkLuun thanks for your list of additional Pi hosters. I was looking for something in Switzerland so the https://www.pihost.ch from your list is a good match and it's quite cheap too for Swiss prices. It's basically the cheapest mini dedicated server I could find in that country.

The latest Raspberry Pi 4 with 4 cores and 4GB of RAM is strong enough for my usage.

The company owner is a very nice and honest person too. Should be mentioned i think...
I talked to him some time ago. Sadly for my kind of project the price did not fit.

OK I've spoken to @trewq, unfortunately this isn't possible. Sorry about that.
