pretty smooth ordering & installation process, feels snappy enough though I am not seeing CPU passthrough at the moment (on Los Angeles node) - will put in a ticket to see if that can be accomodated.

Uptime approved. Now one less reason to say no.

No worries, that was just to protect us from constant abusers...I don’t think we have charged that in 10-20 years! Forgot that was even in there...

Don’t worry, we are good people, no games with us.... no surprise billings unless you really really REALLY deserve it.

@cybertech - you know ... I'm beginning to think this Black Friday thing might be a wee bit overhyped. And there will be another one next year.

This flash sale on the other hand ... well, it's just a sweet, solid high-end lowend deal

Yea...I figured it might FAQ things up a bit!

  • @dahartigan
Can you do a geekbench for the 8 cores please?

  • Is it possible to maybe swap the NVMe for a big ol' HDD?

I'd love to use that as a Proxmox host, but would be unable with such a low disk space.

This deal is configured for these NVME drives. but what kind of space do you need?
...and which location/region were you preferring?

Let me see if I can find away to make it happen for you, on something other than our Storage VPS systems.

Tempted on a Wolverhampton one as I presume that's in Veloxservs DC?

The offer one isn't there but the standard ones seem to let me choose.

Very nice but I need three 8GB VPSes in Europe :(

  • Which of your west coast location would be best for Asia?

Ohh, now it makes sense how you so quickly got a provider tag here. I hadn't realized you were in bed with the CC overlords, though that does explain a lot about how you can offer a bunch of unsustainable looking offers here.

    Cheers!

I am sure Smarthost can answer in detail should they so desire, but comparing CC's DC addresses and Smarthost DC addresses - . There is only one commonality??

Added later: DC addresses are just one data point among other variables.

    Great offer, what about:

    a) Do you have any specific restriction on IOPS? Average / Peak? I dont really need much, but had a recent bad experience with another provider enforcing VERY low tps average.

    b) Any ETA on that Sale for Piscataway?

    c) Is there any chance I could get the 40 / 80Gb nvme PLUS some HDD space (around 300Gb)? I'd prefer the NY/NJ region.

    Thanks.

    I could use something like 1vCPU / 1GB / 80-100GB HDD / 1TB bw on FL for under $40/yr

You probably should do your research before making such accusations.

We have nothing to do with CC whatsoever, other than the fact that we use them for one of our many Data Center colocation sites. One of our 13 locations happens to be be their Buffalo NY site, as the price was right, and the service is good.

We have been here on this site since 2012, well before CC even owned LET/LEB, and in this industry for 25+ years. Our provider tag is anything but new. We have also acquired other providers as well.

We can make this offer because we have capital behind us, this server hardware is already paid for, and we have available unused capacity in our colocation sites.

You are barking up the wrong tree, and looking for a conspiracy theory event where this isn't one. We're about as old of a provider and stable of a host as you'll find on LET, we just historically didn't have a heavy presence as LET was not a target market for us.

nice nice ... any upgrades on disk space for the NVME other than just 80gb?

We could add larger amounts at the same sliding pricing scale if someone needs such more than 80GB.
    ie...+$4/80GB, +$8/120GB, etc..

I'd love to use that as a Proxmox host, but would be unable with such a low disk space.

These NVME systems don't have massive spinning disk space in them, nor physical space to add such.

Our Storage VPS service line with the heavy spinning disks is not suitable for this need, as not enough RAM or CPU per VPS by default to make it feasible.

We are considering setting something up for such a need, but have not had enough requests to move forward with such yet..
