Best options to migrate from Cpanel to a Linux VPS? Google Cloud? Cheap VPS?

Hello guys!
I read a few topics about the 'new Cpanel's rules' and the increment of the price of the Cpanel's based host providers.

In my example, a provider that asked $7/year to use Cpanel with 20Gb HD and unlimited domains, now want to ask $50/year to 10 domains. \o/

So, I decided to migrate my 20 domains to my own VPS. These domains do not have a heavy bandwidth use. Most of them do not have either 2 visits by day.

The options I have in mind:

  1. Cheap Cpanel Provider : to say you the truth, I could not find any really 'cheap'. $13/year for 5Gb and 25 domains is not cheap to me as we can see in the Buyshared offer.

  2. Free Cpanel Providers: some of them want you setup DNS nameservers first. And the Domain Registar in Brazil wants the same: you need to setup DNS in your server provider before you register the DNS nameservers on it (registro.br). So, it is IMPOSSIBLE to setup free accounts that uses .br domains. I tested 4 options.

  3. Setup a VPS (Debian, Ubuntu or any other) and install a cPanel Alternative: DirectAdmin, Plesk, Virtualmin, Froxlor, Ajenti..
Is there any of these options that have an easy way to receive Cpanel full backup ? Imean an easy way to migrate from Cpanel to them.

  4. Use Google Cloud 'free $300' for a time and migrate for another account (Google Cloud account) after 10 months or 1 year. I could read that some people here do not like this idea, but prefer to pay $10/month in a private VPS, as you can read in some replies here:

https://www.lowendtalk.com/discussion/158993/why-dont-people-use-google-clouds-always-free-tier-as-a-small-vps/p1

I imagine that to migrate all the domains it will not be so easy like if we compare you were migrating from a Cpanel Host to another. So, the migration process needs to be avaliated. It can be a hard work to setup a new VPS from time to time. Specially to me, that I am not a Linux specialist.

What are your suggestions?
I'd like to get out from the Cpanel host providers.
It will be great if everyone do the same. Cpanel will need to change its mind.

Have a nice weekend.

    Boss,
Is it for personal usage or you plan to resell your service? Do you need multiple user access or one user is sufficient (with different FTP/email logins etc)?

Space and memory requirements? I will be delighted to set you up with something custom and assist you with the overall migration process plus free DNS hosting :).

Let me know what your requirements are.

I imagined that DirectAdmin was FREE.

    https://www.websiteplanet.com/blog/best-cpanel-alternatives/

But reading its website I could see: it asks $2 to 10 domains. $0.2/domain.
So, it is a Cpanel but not so expensive.

I think the best option would be for all us:
To support ($$$) an open source option and remove Cpanel from the market.

Sure, It would be necessary to have an importer from Cpanel backups.

Yes, I read you wrote that in Francisco's website it is 'free'.
If it was free, the price must cheaper than cpanel's options right?

In Francisco VPS (buyvm) has DirectAdmin. But.. in BuyShared (https://buyshared.net/shared-cpanel-hosting/ ) Francisco only uses Cpanel. I could not find any DirectAdmin option.
I do not have interest to use Cpanel any more. I think Cpanel needs to pay for what it new rules.

    Thank you for your suggestions.

You posted ASKING FOR VPS and then you compare prices with SHARED HOSTING.

I have 20 domains running in Cpanel. I need to get an option to insert these domains to run in a cheaper price than to continue using Cpanel in a HIGH PRICE (20x the price I paid before).
    I asked for OPTIONS.

I asked to see what people are doing after the Cpanel new rules.

If you do not have idea or do not have interest to help, go to another post and be happy.

In VPS I will need to setup a lot of things. I will need to spend time to learn. Yes, I like to learn, but I will need to spend time to manage a VPS. I am not good in LINUX commands (sudo... ) .

I think you know that Cpanel (after new rules) can not be the NUMBER 01 control panel in the world.
As I wrote in my first message, I do not have interest to continue using Cpanel from now to the future.
I imagine that others Control Panels can do the same thing that Cpanel. Maybe not in the same level and graphic aspect. I read your post about Direct Admin. So, I can imagine that you, as me, think that it is not possible to continue to use Cpanel and pay what Cpanel wants. Make all the Hosting Industry do what Cpanel's wants.

As a SHARED host , using Cpanel, the same 20GB HD will cost $18/year ($1.5/month).

Cpanel makes things a lot easy because when you migrate from one Hosting provider to another and both use Cpanel, you will only need to do a simple backup (download and upload process).

So, it looks like I could create a VPS, install Direct Admin and make the migration using this feature.
Or maybe install another Control Panel (free one, too) and migrate: database and files manually.

    THIS.

He is too lazy to do simple math: $2 per month x 12 = annual cost. The provider must do the math for him.

The only other interpretation is that he wants a discount for annual payment but his English sucks so hard that he only knows how to be a broken recorder repeating that he wants to know the annual cost.

At this point, there seems to be pretty strong evidence this is some PRC.
