have you tried maybe OVH UK VPS's , the latency should be fine in Iceland?

Given Iceland's location and its economy, do you think what you are asking is possible there?

  • Happen to know some miners and they place their miner machines in Iceland for cheap electricity but collocate servers in UK for better routing.

Don‘t know why you are allowed to post in every thread without giving meaningful answers. Guess LET mods just don‘t care about shitposting anymore.

OP: Check https://1984hosting.com/product/pricelist/ Very good uptime, starting at 5 dollars / month - yes it‘s kvm.

I am allowed to post because I haven't broken rules?

What in Amitz is your issue? I asked a question which you answered.

And you are the personal bodyguard? Neat. We‘re living in a free world, so thoughts can be spoken.

Yeah, you are free to speak your mind. And so shall I.

If I was trolling, I would have made it clear (by adding "Amitz!" or something). But was my post in any way trolling? I merely asked a question because I felt Iceland wouldn't have the capacity.

I ask again, did my post look like I was trolling?

It's from OVH. So the provider might be Icelandic, but the server might be actually located in somewhere else?

What are you smoking? Edis is an company from Austria and colocates their servers. They don‘t have stuff at OVH.

if the hosting company is hosting servers in Iceland, that company must follow and operate under Icelandic laws since day 1 the servers are powered on. So, can you please elaborate, what kind of stuff you had in mind to host in Iceland that need so desperately protection from Icelandic laws? just curious...

  • probably nothing to do with the flow law of ice

but just in case it might be relevant here ...

The lowest velocities are near the base of the glacier and along valley sides where friction acts against flow, causing the most deformation. Velocity increases inward toward the center line and upward, as the amount of deformation decreases. The highest flow velocities are found at the surface, representing the sum of the velocities of all the layers below.

    (Also, Amitz.)

  • Hey now, don't mess with @deank - he is our good luck charm/fortune teller. He is always right, and the end is always nigh.

And if a hosting company has servers in 5 different countries, under which of those does it have to operate? all 5 at the same time?

  • 1984.is!! :hushed: One of the best.
