I managed to order a Special Deal Online dedi while it was out of stock.
I just waited 4 days (not bothering support, because I don't really care, it was an experiment).
It got delivered today - as new stock reappeared.
No drama.
Why are you being obtuse? First of all, it's a $6 difference, not $2, and it's per month, so it adds up over time.
It's not the customers responsibility to validate and accept orders, it's the goddamn company selling. So people blaming the customer for refreshing to get a deal are just being assholes. Stock validation has been a requirement for online stores since the beginning of online stores.
Lastly, the reasonable thing to do is provide an accurate ETA for the server or ask first if they want a refund. They told him soon but couldn't tell him when, and then servers show up in quantity the next day implies that support did sweet fuck all in trying to find out when that server would be delivered. That's just either serious incompetence or malice.
To not know when purchased equipment will be available is surely incompetence as well. That makes no sense in a functioning company.
@davi
We understand, and we sympathize.
At the same time, your expectations were/are too high for a €2 server. I'm not trying to defend Online.net's system, but you purchased an extreme bargain-bin product, and after two tickets they had already lost money on you. Yes, their system probably entails a certain amount of overselling, which is more noticeable with an extreme bargain-bin product. It's not the end of the world. Move on.
You should write a rap song about your experience.
A new rap song by the artist known as 200cents.
You just killed @davi
About the 2€, it sux that you didn't receive your server as expected/ordered... But for 4€ you can have KS1 dedi (ok it's double price but...)
Unfortunately I'm @loe, not @eol.
That's too complicated.
You should thanks them for not taking you in. Regardless, they don't care whether they have spare stock to provision or replace (when your server has hw issue). Either simply cancel your order or terminate your up and running service as well.
That's known fact for online.net yet most of us here jumped in once again to hit 1.99 EUR atom sales with 10EUR setup fees for idling and fun... xD
I'd hate to be the boy/girl/zhe/wei that turns down sex to OP at the last minute. It happens sometimes.
That one was 29.99 EUR.
And it had a 100 eur setup IIRC
50 EUR
You got it all wrong. It's not just 2 euro, it's 12 euro. You all forgot the setup fee.
You have the right to remain silent. And provider have the right to refuse your order.
Stay away from Online.net / OVH, both are shit
I just received the bill
Incorrect. For me, online / scaleway / ovh is perfect. Probably because I know what to expect.
Had something similar happened earlier.... was patient and they were able to setup one for me at the honored price when they got stock.... probably needed patience
Have online.com dedi for several years and there is no problem at all.

Seems to me also looks so. Looks like those who have not created any ticket, got it as, may be they went without any dealing with support. But creating ticket after 5 hours of order and then after 24 hours another ticket and then waiting for two days does not seem to me impatience. If they are able to handle this normal ticket for asking ETA of product then how they will handle support ticket if there is any critical support needed for server.
I also had with them many other servers in past even at higher monthly cost as well. And I also had no problem with them in the past. Time to time people reported here about their bad service & support. At that time I also had same thoughts like you.
If you know how to handle or expect from junk support then it is your talent but it does not make junk support, good one.
I have full trust in your experience.
Hello @davi,
I am sorry to hear your experience was not up to our promise. I am currently checking your case with my colleagues and we will reply directly on your ticket asap.
Best regards,
Bene
The moment the SEO has some impact which costs more then a 1.99 dedicated, they start talking to you again.
Gee... This new generation...
What impatience...
And calling this "worst customer support"
Sure.
Oh and... Summer is already over kiddo...
life of the end?
