It appears that Online has cheap machines avail.

"This is not a limited-time offer."

Any thoughts on this?

What did you select? Looks fine for me.

  • Yep bought 5 just now.

  • Will it changes in next several months? Online did this practice many times :-)

  • most of their atom are faulty. as long as no need to deal with their support. I think wouldn't be bad idea.

Well, no one knows, not yet.
Could be that Arnaud returned, but could be another marketing stunt.

Oh god, this dedi is so delicious but we all know online.net likes to increase their pricing... Should I go for it, wait for BF/CM or nah?

  • If it wasn't for the set up fee I would have snagged it right now. Or at least a price lock guarantee... :(

Go while it still last. cancel later .. but 10 EUR setup fees is there. That might be their earning point :hushed:

I believe it is only worth it if it lasts for at least 6 months. What happen if the dedi is faulty once it is delivered, is their support working?

    no it won't

I seriously hate to deal with support. Seems like 2.99 EUR one doesn't even start for installation (at least for last few mins).. Damn it..

@FAT32 you better wait. Nothing new or changed by online.net I supposed. Not worth the troubles.

LOL, let me know if your 2.99EUR one started successfully. If it works I will get the HDD one.

Started now. not sure healthy or not.. got to check when OS installation completed. Despite the ugly fact, 1.99/2.99 EUR are sold so fast.

  • Thanks, I've picked up a large amount of them.

I would buy a piggy bank. But then again the price will most likely be raised, since it is precisely their refusals through price increases.

If I buy a server for 1.99, then an renew of 2.99?

Well, they said, in Slack/IRC it will stay.
But no idea how long Arnaud will keep up that promise.

Same here, orderded 2 4.99 servers. Won't install after about half an hour. Seems like Online would like to earn some money with faulty servers?

I probably shouldn't have ordered these in hindsight. Last time I dealt with Online.net they were okay, but that was 4 years ago.

For now no.. in the billing corrected automatically. Not sure what went wrong. Still remained at EUR 1.99

    Kidechire???

I still have a bitter taste after their last Kidechire fiasco where they disabled lots of those machines for the reason of old hardware, only to resell them through OneProvider for a bigger price.

For new people around here, here is a link.
