  • Mwahhhh. This is really annoying. I was a happy customer for 3 years. Now I have moved my dedi to another provider, ordered a VPS which is not working and have 100€ balance that I am probably not getting back...

I have no pity with @Kiwi83 because instead of porn - which can be retrieved again - one might have really, really valuable data on a VPS, like e.g. a couple of ten GB of good quality random.

But 600GB of porn videos lost! That's a serious loss! Not even a little sympathy?!

It’s heartbreaking. In a solid collection, there will be all sorts of videos you can no longer obtain without your wife asking questions about why you’re paying £20 a month to ‘City Solutions Ltd’ so to lose that much would be a real killer.

On a different subject, I know LETFlix died an early death, but surely a LETFlix4pr0n is a project we can all get behind?

  • @cociu is your infrastructure beeing DDoS'ed? The login page does not respond and the VPS connection is going up and down like crazy.

most likely they are being ddosed, at the moment my vps is intermittently inaccessible due to packet loss.

    Someone's upset at HS again?

  • Is cociu on vacation?

i think the last time there was a sustained ddos attack that was around 2 months ago, doubt its just a upset ex-customer, most likely its a pay up or get ddosed scenario.

Nope, he has been online and has posted in other threads.

Who knows... But even if he is on vacation, he claims that the company has more than 1 employee to work with hosting. So, there is something else.

Welcome @Bill! LET is full of trolls so don't feed them. I'm Alexander B.P. Johnson and I live in London, UK. Glad to know that you're a happy HS customer for so many years. Would you mind telling us how you met this wonderful provider?

@Ctc you've got an lnteresting hairstyle which @Bill probably missed.

p.s I am also over 40 and I am also typing from my mobile phone and I feel sorry for contributing to this thread because now I may be trolled.

Why do you mention this? He clearly doesnt offer phone support and I'm sure after the first angry customers that called him he will simply don't answer it anymore.

So it would seem. Saw this on their announcements today.

    Dear customers ,

we apologise for the interruption in the last 2-3 days and for the bad network quality , this was not something not planificated , Any way to compensate all this problems we will implement DDos protection from voxility to all our customers at no aditional cost. In this case we will avoid futures problems and our customers will benefit permanently of protection up to 1tbps.

We hope the implementation will be more fast but Voxility was confirm deadline for this friday.

Thanks for been part of this company.

When it's a fact than it's done. With HS and endless promisses you need a solid fact.

Guys , we will not dissapear no worry. Unfortunatly in the last 4 days we receive a huge quantity of ddos atack so we need to change the entirely routing. We work asap with the voxility to implement up to 1tbps ddos protection. This is a pain in the ass for me personally to pay this extra fee but i hope finnaly the customers will be happy. Unfortunatly this cannot be iplemented in hours , we have dead line until tumorrow (at least we have receive this dead time from part of voxility and i hope will be done). Thanks all and i hope tumorrow have more time to explain all what happened here, seems someone have time to play ...

Thanks to all this who understand the situation.

    Marius (cociu) .

PS: Yes this is not our tiketing support but we have many LET users so i think in this situation is a good place to have the customers informed.

Note : all our effort is now focused in resolve the network problems , the tiketing system will delay this days , also the new orders will be provided once all is fixed. The kvm wich have problems will be taked one to one and resolve this errors , also we will change the next due date once is fix.

what are the Voxility cost for "up to 1tbps ddos protection" ?

  • what are the Voxility cost for "up to 1tbps ddos protection" ?

is negociable depend of your incoming/outgoing traffic , the solution what you need , etc etc. I can give you a direct number and if you need help the guy is verry fast , but i can assure you is worth any penny . I hope in one hour to be implemented finnaly because i have a idiot (or a group) wich is verry deceptionated about his life.

You should wait and have some practical and concrete experience before you judge. Judging too early often turns out as wrong.

Similarly you should wait and first have a properly working DC and working and available nodes before you sell. Selling too early often turns out as problematic.

Good luck and I hope that the voxility protection works well.
