DA or ISPConfig?
Just wondering which route to go down, ive played with both and both are great.
Putting costs asside whats the dis/advantages of both in comparison?
Any advantage to a mulit server setup of isp to da's limited multi? bother with multi at all
I know a lot seem to be going DA just trying to give others a fair shot.
Any details on DA new price plan?
Comments
ISPconfig full of bugs. DA FTW. New pricing should go in coming days.

Both have some decent features. ISP has been quite good in the past when we contacted them about changes and fixes or features. However their backend has always felt quite dated and a little weird.
It's been a few years since we last tested it so it could be better now.
Direct admin has always felt a little older than Cpanel however looks like a lot of nice changes, haven't looked at our systems that are running it in some time, however we plan on popping up a few more nodes for Cpanel replacements shortly.
ISP I would suggest if you go the route of using all their software itself billing, webhosting, vps, IP management etc. If just for webhosting not sure if I would use it.
CentosWebPanel, if Rack911 identifies issues and they're resolved.
bugs as in???
also what is the DA new pricing?
@DA_Mark any update on the new pricing thing?
Care to elaborate?
Mark had provided an upcoming entry level license pricing yesterday.
Below is what was posted. for normal license, those are already available on DA site.
1) Trial license. Actually, a full retail DA license that will last for 60 days. No credit card required. No spam. No contact with a live human being required. Perfect for summer hosts.
2) Personal license. $2/month. Yes, two bucks a month for a commercial control panel. Single login, and up to 10 domains. It will be charged annually due to merchant costs eating up monthly transactions.
3) Lite license. About half price of our $29 retail license. 10 accounts, 50 domains.
4) Regular $29 license remains unchanged.
Kloxo-MR was a beast ..
DirectAdmin for sure. Its just awesome!
Ou, sure. Just a one:

And this was with current version. So yea, for commercial usage this is total NO GO.
thanks guys
DA.
Security vulnerabilities have probably been found at any panel at some point. That doesn't mean one can never use such panel in production. cPanel (in its early years perhaps more than now?!), DA, ISPConfig, Keyhelp, Vesta, CWP.. they've all had some eventually. It's about addressing them and getting them fixed. And ISPConfig seems to do that just fine. I can see why you wouldn't want to use it though, no offense
DA 100%
DA
VestaCP with some security hardening proven to be best for me
Neither, wait for vepp release.
DA all the way..
If this is bad what to tell for that "premium"

About DA or ISPConfig I have more experience with ISPConfig - hosting one big site on a VPS but for shared hosting it will be suitable for high end only* as it will generate crazy amount of support load as due to more strange UI if it mostly self served as shared sell in our days
*If you offer some sort of managed high end cluster hosting with master master replication of the database and sync of the files every minute between nodes for customers that paying you to do that - you will manage the panel so it will be no issue...
So choose DA for most use cases ....
Personally DA
