Falkland Islands. Uplink would be horrible but it'd be a unique dot on the observium map....

In what exotic location would you like have a VPS?

Any other reason, besides you or your visitors being there?

Let's go with something feasible but also useful...

Greenland/Iceland... (I hear they have fat pipes and cheap electricity, peering between NA and EU might also be interesting)

Another realistic option we don't see frequently is Portugal.

My perception is that there are some areas around the globe that are poorly served or where prices are very high: the Middle East, Africa, and South America (though Amazon is there). Mainland China as well, in a sense.

However, I suspect you'd have to be a pretty big player to offer LEBs at cheap prices in those locales...

Greenland, if you can since there aren't any VPS providers there (that I know of)

Glesys? Hosthatch? Openvz.io? VPS2DAY? They're all in the same DC.

    Luna. Make it happen.

This is not the first time I requested this. Why is it so hard?

Listen, I am willing to pay 6.66 USD a month for this.

I also want this location, but the dark side, where is colder and I can take advantage of better CPU overclocking. I am willing to pay too.

VPS in fancy location = meh. Small box colo, more interesting. VOIP endpoint also of some interest.

Portugal, where a 1 vcore, 2GB of RAM and 30GB SSD cost 15€ p/ month.

I can get it cheaper, but yeah.

We'll be opening a location... Portugal, soon.

Won't happen, internet bw is not similar to Romania. In romania isps are running at loss and increase the pricing every few months.

Easter Island. Think of the awesome logo you could make for Easter Island Hosting.

How about I host a gameserver there and call it Easter Island Gaming, maybe shorten the name a little with a bit of an abbreviation?

  • Warsaw.

    Prague.

    Bangkok.

    Kuala Lumpur.

    Istanbul.

    Hanoi

Although local peering would need to strong to make it a choice over AMS (for Europe) and SGP (for SE Asia) for dev/testing VPSs
