Venocix vServer Spring (2 x vCPU 3.0 GHz)
As I was looking for combahton network for nice asia connectivity, came across Venocix somewhere. so far their review had been mostly good, and that they are having EUR 3,00 vServer Spring promo, decided to take a look.
So far i liked their arrangements:
- Prepaid
- 2 Xeon Cores 3ghz
- RAID 10 SSD (samsung)
- Up to 1gbit
- DDOS protection
- 3 backups (snapshots) that can be manually scheduled
FAQ info:
We rely exclusively on HP Server, Intel CPU and SAMSUNG SSD.
Currently our systems are built like this:
2x Intel Xeon E5 2690v2 (3.00 GHz)
128GB DDR3 RAM / 256GB DDR3 RAM
4x 1TB SAMSUNG EVO 860 SSD (Managed via an HP Hardware Controller )
The host systems are each connected with 2x1G.
Went on live chat and spoke to Tim, nice and polite (like real nice). Asked about ECC Ram, yes. Asked about CPU passthrough repeatedly, yes. Found a benchmark in April that showed otherwise, but Tim reassured that its been changed and asked me to try.
Still a little skeptical but for EUR 3,00 ok, took the plunge. Nice.

For my use case a minimum of 3GB ram is required on Centos7. This fits in nicely with 1GB swap that could take on the load. Very pleasantly surprised.
P.S. After 6 months I've now run out of funds to play. If you like it do help by using the aff link.

Seems really nice. Have you been with them for several months? Do you know if they provide support in english?
Just 24hrs mate. Yes English. My command of German is just about guten tag and vielen dank
Edit:
my ticket was just answered in clear English.
And it is possible to get IPv6 via their upgrade/downgrade option in the panel. It is free and automated.
Awesome, seems to be a good alternative to netcup/hetzner and the like.
Do you have a test ip from the space of your server? I am looking for a bastion host in Frankfurt with good routing right now.
Got one from their spring offer. IPs are assigned from this ip space: 45.11.16.X
Mine is 152.xx.
How's your bench?
According to the control panel I am on vhost02. This is my benchmark:
im on vhost2 too. nice IOPS. looking fresh. many provider have lower IOPS on centos7.6, i do not know why. tried messing with tuned but does not improve if its already raid 10. but on live http performance this is the best 2GB ECC out there for me at lowest price.
The real life performance is superb and so far it's a great experience. I get the feeling, that there is a lot of movement in their Discord and they want to actively improve the user experience, add new features et cetera.
I do like their (combahton) routing. From everywhere I tested (3 different ISPs in Germany) I get <20ms, the lowest being 5ms. Let's see how they perform throughout the year.
By the way for speed tests people can use https://lg.combahton.net
no english version of there site?
Looks like another summer host to me.
Maybe, what makes you think that?
If they are here to stay, the offer ain't bad, but storage is on the low side. A single core and 1GB of RAM for a cheap yearly price would make more sense imo.
I wouldn’t go that far.
Venocix is run by a sole proprietorship business while the other two are big and well established hosting companies.
Sole proprietorship isn’t bad per se but the probability that they go out of business or have a security breach (cough, KTS24) is usually higher.
Wanna update:
Venocix.de crappy oversold shit
I just quitted their services after 1 day of using. Poor performance, i don't recommend for now.
Agree. It was already bad last year , and it continues to this year. Avoid at all (low) cost.
The price for those specs seemed too good to be true
For monthly prepaid yes, but for bi/annually there are some providers who can compete within +/-10% price but consistently good
