WebsiteHydra by SecureDragon - $6/Year cPanel Hosting

KuJoeKuJoe Member, Host Rep

We noticed there was a lot of talk about shared hosting lately so we put together a budget plan for LET users. We created WebsiteHydra.com specifically for this plan and don't even have it listed on our main website. I know there are a ton of options out there for shared hosting, but here's another option because variety is the spice of life. :D

  • 2GB SSD Storage
  • Unmetered Bandwidth @ 1Gbps*
  • Unlimited Domains
  • cPanel
  • CloudLinux
  • Softaculous
  • DDoS Protection**
  • $6 Per Year
  • ORDER HERE

*Fair Share
** Shared IP Only

For those of you who don't know us or forgot about us, Secure Dragon LLC. was formed in October of 2010 and has been offering quality services since 2011. We are a fully registered Limited Liability Company with the Florida Department of State Division of Corporations.

NOTE: These services are hosted in Las Vegas, NV on BuyVM's infrastructure.

You have a buyvm managed vps? Or is this just buyshared reseller (which doesn't have ddos protection)

Why are you using BuyVM infastructure?

Here's a hopefully not long history lesson of our Shared Hosting services:

Originally we offered shared hosting in Tampa but people weren't happy with the location so we moved it to Denver for a more central location but then people wanted DDoS protection so we moved it to our Portland location but we couldn't utilize CloudLinux on OpenVZ so we moved it to QuadraNet's Infracloud service (first in Miami because of resource availability, then to Los Angeles) but once the services reached a level that wasn't financially viable (storage was expensive at higher levels) we moved our cPanel services to their own server in our cabinet in Tampa in an attempt to scale without impacting costs (the bandwidth and power is paid for by our VPS nodes so hosting a cPanel server in Tampa literally costs us nothing since we have extra servers available) but then people kept asking for a more central location so we switched over to BuyVM's slices opting to eat the additional costs to keep our clients happy with a higher level of DDoS protection than we have in Tampa. We've brought up the topic of offering other locations but for now we and our clients are happy with BuyVM's network and location.

After recent cpanel price hike, would there be some new plan like this? Directadmin maybe?

Our shared web hosting plans are all on hold for now. I'm exploring multiple different options (currently DirectAdmin, Interworx, and "roll-your-own") and will hopefully have something up and running by this weekend. :)
