  • Would be nice if you could setup Looking-Glasses at your locations so we can do traceroutes from the network o/

  • Could you provide Cloud MINI in Miami location, maybe with a little premium?

The CPU is dedicated for Cloud S or bigger plans. The CPU for Cloud Mini is not dedicated.

We are using mostly Raid-50 actually. For custom plans, please contact us https://www.virtono.com/contact.php !

  • Cloud Mini is interesting.

Are all EU nodes using similar hardware?

  • Someone should update the title to mention that Miami is available. It is a more interesting offer that way.

  • what you mean "1GB RAM burst" on Cloud Mini ?

That was a mistake, kvm doesn't have ram burst, but the time I had to edit this post expired. Sorry!

Our provider is M247 indeed, all of our infrastructure (servers, storages, switches, etc) is hosted in m247 locations. In Romania & UK they have their own datacenters, for other locations they use 3rd party data centers.

This offer sounds really good, but sadly IRC processes are not allowed (TOS/AUP) :(

IRC is not allowed because it attracts hacks/ddos and other attacks. If you think that you can avoid that, please contact us and explain how, and my colleagues will probably let you install whatever you want.

Routes to all your EU test IPs have terrible latency from Airtel (Bharti Airtel, India)
So, I'm thankful the temptation for another personal VPN node was wiped out.

Perhaps you could work on the latency using the Bharti test ips found here http://sgp.smokeping.ovh.net/smokeping?target=APAC

  • Any existing client please comment on there up time and support response.

  • niceboy said: up time and support response.

I've been positively impressed by their support: they answer nicely and in a timely manner. The panel let you do everything so you don't need support a lot.

Uptime should be good as they are using RAID 50 and their nodes appear to be in decent datacenters.

Thank you for your review. However, I have something to mention... The cpu speed is capped at 1/2 (50%) and not 1/4.

If anybody else happens to have the same issue, please contact support!

I have a Cloud Mini, too (NL) and have benchmarked it. Network is quite nice but the rest is seriously poor. In particular I don't believe for a second that a vCore is 50% of a hw Core or even a thread. It says to run on an i9 Nehalem class and the flags support that. But the performance is far below what is to be expected from 50% of a Nehalem class core/thread.

On the other hand I've seen a lot worse in that price range (and even higher), so nothing to complain about. For a name server or a modest light web server it's good enough.

Btw it shows once more that one shouldn't be obsessed about GHz but about cache (just 2MB L2, no L3 in this case). A large and fast cache is probably the single most important and under-estimated factor for a node.

Mine doesn't, though that's not why I took the service.
