OVH Network | SINGAPORE => INDIAN Sub Continent (ISC) | Info and improvement requests

OVH has made considerable network improvements over the last months on its network to reduce the latency from the Singapore Datacenter to customers located in Asia-Pacific especially in Southeast Asia (and will continue to do so)

We are also committed to improve our network to the INDIAN Sub continent by adding providers, capacity and new rules to reduce the latency from Singapore (our closest datacenter to this region: with latency beeing as low as ~ 40ms from SINGAPORE => INDIA)

Below are some of the latest improvements done in India:

Would like to see some improvements on the OVH Network?

not only big hosts like ovh, do or amazon can have best deals with bandwidth providers and ultimately cheaper bandwidth for all . India has changed a lot , it is not what it used to be . also not much content restriction like china .

hosting outside India has many issues as various parts within the country cannot be served or one isp or another have bad peering .

Yup, Direct Bharti Airtel, Tata Communications & Jio Uplinks along with Direct Peering to Extreme IX, NIXI & National Internet Backbone India will be enough to provide great connectivity across India

    1. Tata Communications - Will cover most of the Private Broadband Providers
    2. Reliance Jio & Bharti Airtel - Will cover most of the 3G & 4G Mobile Data Traffic
    3. National Internet Backbone India - Will cover all BSNL Broadband & Mobile Services

Vodafone/Idea Uplink will also improve connectivity but I don't think its a necessity

    Hello @rm_ , @tcp6
The cheapest server in Singapore via our Public cloud solution would be indeed 3.50 USD (by the month) (versus 2.50 USD for the old APAC SSD VPS offer), however: you will get twice the RAM and several options which were lacking on these APAC VPS. such as additional storage, snaphots..etc.. (https://www.ovh.com/asia/public-cloud/instances/features/)
I will inform the LET community once the OVH Public cloud solution is available in both Singapore and Sydney.
