Looking - 5gb HD, 50gb bandwidth - OpenVPN Friendly
Howdy!
I am looking for a provider that will allow me to run the OpenVPN service. This will be protected single user only, for myself. The majority of my surfing is done without VPN, but I do visit several conspiracy websites that I will use the VPN for. It will not be used for anything malicious, it's only for privacy concerns.
I will also host a single website that runs on the Joomla platform that will discuss current political and science news. Hope I'm not coming off too nutty, but I want to be honest when it comes to what I'll be using the service for. I've been finding some great offers but I see most hosts do not allow VPNs, regardless of being commercial or private.
no support/unmanaged is fine
host country/server location doesn't matter
5gb space
50gb bandwidth
1 IPv4 Address
256-512ram
looking to spend $7 US equivalent or less
Thanks for looking!
Btw, 1st post!

Sorry. Meant to attach the OpenVPN link for those hosts that are not familiar with OpenVPN. openvpn.net
Almost all providers allow private VPN usage. Feel free to go through the offers. The offers in my signature will suit your usage as well.
There were some cool, low cost 128. 256 MB offer, For 512MB you can get many good offers under $4/mo. Just see LEB and offers category, here at LET
We have a 256mb KVM for $10/year if you were interested. Link in signature.
There were some extremely cheap 128 MB Cloudshards plans here the other day. $7 per year I think. I got a couple.
I can do this for $24.95 / Yr. Contact us if you're interested: https://www.fraphost.com/contact.php
No, the 128mb plan was $11 IIRC, $7.50 for 64MB. I'd encourage the OP to take the @ShardHost deal, it's the best one going by far!
@badpatrick, hey Using VPS for VPN is part of our standard usage here. It's nothing illegal with that. Many people use it and most hosts allow it. It's actually very hard to find a host who wouldn't allow it here. Just go through offers, don't pay too much and possibly find a reliable host with servers located where it suit you the best.

In case you're in doubt regarding something ask in their offer thread or send them pre-sale ticket. Most hosts will gladly answer you.
I use a £2/quarterly 64MB VPS from HTTPZoom for my VPN. You only need 32MB RAM to use OpenVPN, OP.
