Are there any in-ear headphones with really good noise cancelling you can recommend?
I am looking to listen to some audiobooks/podcasts during commute and thus am looking for good noise cancelling in-ear headphones so I don't always have to carry my big on-ear headphones around. Sure they have good noise cancelling but are kinda uncomfortable to always carry around (size wise).

Bose QuietComfort 20 were recommended to me last year by a friend, I ended up going for the over-ear type though.
Fair enough. I do prefer over-ear too. Might just buy a bigger backpack and carry them along.
Buy Other Sound Equipment.
This being Lowendtalk I'm gonna suggest a cheaper but viable option.
Audio-Technica ATH-ANC23
They can be found for around $40 USD. Lets face it, if it's just for audiobooks/podcasts it's all you really need.
KZ ES10, or KZ ES4
Cool thanks! Will look into it
You're all thinking about it wrong. Get a $40 Bluetooth speaker that uses a nokia cell battery and just buy like 10 of them. Then keep it at about 7/10 so everyone can enjoy it.
I recommend the following books:

I took this from an otorhinolaryngologist - even the best, custom made ear plugs could take away at max, up to -20dB noise. Even our bones and cartilage transfer sound.
I wish i was deaf. Honestly.
Having to lose music is a small price to pay considering the benefits of peace, serenity and good sleep. Being blind is miserable, but being deaf - any time.
Unless you had tinnitus. Even deaf people can have it.
No no, properly deaf.
PS: And even if so, the impulse response of the auditory channel would be nill.
I used to use Shure SE215-CL 's when I played drums in a couple bands. They do pretty well at blocking out outside noise, have good sound, and are a decent price for in-ear headphones. Would recommend them.
This is because of foam tips. Almost all earbuds will good with noise when using foam tips.
QC30 if you dont mind the neck ring...
I own Bose QC20 -- and traveled thousands of miles and worked around noisey machinery with them. Reasonable sound quality -- but annoying battery pack. I picked up some Powerbeats 3, and killed them almost immediately (google charging problems) and returned them. Enjoyed them for what they were.
I was chatting with a friend about my experience and he recommended these kinda junk Senso non-noise cancelling headphones (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01G8JO5F2/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1).
I have beat the shit out of them -- work out, run in the rain, work on my house, don't care about them, etc. I've had 2x4's knock them out of my ears, ive dropped them while biking with them. I even left them around my antenna for a 20 minute drive one time. They come with soft-foam earbuds that are basically ear plugs. They dont have a g-damn battery pack to whip around like you want to tie your iphone to your face.
For $30, they can die every 6 months -- with the abuse I give them I would be happy with 3. The sound quality is on par with the Beats, and the good old soft-foam ear plugs basically make them amazing at noise cancelling.
Awesome price tag as well! Thanks
Xiaomi products are good (considering their price)
I highly do not recommend anything in-ear (not even sexual objects), because those can easily cause inflammations of the ear (aka otitis).
I am using Xiaomi 3.5mm ANC in ear. It's quite good sound quality for its price. And the ANC work for 60-70% at noisy cafe house.
The USB-C version is better (no need to charge battery, lighter but not too much, future-proof with phones without 3.5mm...) but a little lower sound quality.
Sony WI-1000X
Quite good
+1
Absolutely confirm this comment. And this is not about "hygiene", this is super dangerous with time and different peaks, and many many many other reasons.
I do like good quality sound, for this reason I do use Beats Studio headphones
My on ear headphones are also beats studio
Beats Studios 3

+1 for Sony WI-1000X. Well worth the money.
Bose QC 20 for in-ear and QC 35 for over the ear. Use them both and personally I feel these are the benchmarks when it comes to acoustic noise cancellation.
Bose QC20. IIRC Beats copied Bose's noise cancelling tech and there was a lawsuit about it so they may be comparable and slightly less expensive.
