  • If you're on Windoze, just use MSE.

    Have been using it for 2 years or so, does an okay job. Though, having enough common sense to avoid dodgy stuff is usually enough too, MSE just provides an extra layer.

    Your favourite websites (including this one, which runs on a nginx 1.0.13 web server) might be hacked to inject malicious scripts. It's also hard to keep every software up-to-date.

  • Using noscript is usually also a given for most people who knowingly don't run an AV :P

    That said, I just use MSE, as previously mentioned. It does the job.

    Linux + NoScript + AdBlock Plus + not being stupid. NoScript is pretty awesome though.
