Same thing with double RAM and NVMe is $150 with OVH (Canada).
Yep seems fair.
What's the provier's SLA, how would you rate their network quality, do the support staff know their shit? And we're talking about unmanaged, right?
Yes, it's unmanaged, and I generally like them.
Who is the provider?
SLA: 99.965% public network availability. 2-hour hardware replacement. 1 day service credit for each 2 hours of consecutive unavailability.
Sorry, I want to keep it private.
It's DbD.
Lol, first result when googling "99.965% public network availability".
I know.
Which is inverse-proportional to their support. I've never had a problem with my hardware there.
Reach out to Choopa for a quote. They'll probably be able to provide a better price for what you need. Or ask Scott to splash some more Yeti sauce on the server and drive down the price a bit.
Take a look at Psychz specials (https://www.psychz.net/dashboard/client/web/order/special) - E3-1270v6, 32GB RAM, 2 x 512GB SSDs, 30TB bandwidth comes to $154 per month in Ashburn, E3-1270v5 is $129 after having a play around with the configurations. I highly recommend them.
That is astronomically high for a DbD server lmao.
If you're looking for a deal, @QuadraNet_Adam can possibly help you out.
@redleaf QuickPacket can do that config with 30TB bandwidth at $149.99 in Charlotte, NC. Let me know if you're interested.
Lets be fair
Most of the pricing here is unfair and in your favour.
The pricing that most vendors provide here is their keenest sharpest pricing and if it was their only source of revenue they will always be living on the edge.
That price looks eminently fair to me but it can be had for cheaper.
Well, it depends on what they provide.
If they provide good support then it's definitely a fair price.
Can't go wrong with QuickPacket.
We can offer you in Chicago: E3-1275v5, 32GB, 2x480GB, 200Mbit/s Unmetered - $124/mo.
