1 Gbps link?
thanks a ton for making that happen, just got my 2TB provisioned, eager to try going to post some benchmarks in a few ;-)
OPINIONS?
Storage nodes have 10GE uplinks, the other ones 1GE uplinks.
Meh
NOTED
Meh * 2.
I got one in NL.
besides the obvious storage deals I think 1GB KVM at $20 yearly in LA also is quite a deal... last year they got sold out quickly during the weekend and needed to restock for monday if I remember right :-)
here you go for some speeds for the storage in NL ( @dfroe ):
also you even get full 2TiB not that usual 1.8 ;-)
geekbench: https://browser.geekbench.com/v4/cpu/4979189
so yes definitely approve those as good BlackFriday offers :-)
Hi @ultravps.eu Do you offer additional IPv4 and how much are they? (small number, like 2 or so)
@southy, we don't provide additional IPv4 addresses for these special offers. I am sorry.
Thanks!
@UltraVPS If we are given 10 IPv6 from your own /64, are we given access to add more IPS at will from that set?
Alas, that's not possible at the moment.
Thanks for your benchmark, @Falzo. Though it doesn't make the decision easier - both seem on a par regarding network. Disk throughput was better with HostHatch, CPU benchmark seems a bit better with UltraVPS - and it looks like you've got AES-NI in your VPS there.
I think, I'll give UltraVPS another try. At least I shouldn't have any concerns about reliability with them. My experience with last year's Cloud BF was/is great. Let's hope the disk throughput and latency remains stable when all ZXHost refugees are going to put their data on those storage boxes.
@dfroe
I have services with Hosthatch and UltraVPS and while Hosthatch is decent, UltraVPS has a better network (in NL) and in my experience so far better uptime and support. I have a server from a sale a while back and it has not rebooted or had any issues requiring a ticket:
Provider Service has been around a long time and is one of the most reliably providers around in Germany and Netherlands. They actually run their own networks, have their own peering and have a very good network mix. If you are stuck between the two, unless there is some specific resource that Hosthatch is going to give you more of that you need, the level of service and quality is hard to match.
my 2 cents.
Cheers!
@TheLinuxBug
Thanks for sharing your experience. Actually I already ordered an UltraVPS BF Storage a few minutes ago. And yes, I went with the larger one - couldn't resist, @Falzo I hope this new storage VPS will do a great job.
haha, at least I am not the only one spending too much time and money on such stuff :-)
KVM?
Yes.
I call this thread and the Liteserver one *sensible buyers club *.
The vets who have learned their lesson.
I'm just glad my credit card payment won't clear until Monday. I have 10euros balance to spend meanwhile (very low limit credit card)
No more LA storage?
The plans Storage-BF and Storage-BF2 are only available in the Netherlands.
Very well. Thank you.
@UltraVPS I ordered 1 cloud-fb vps several hours ago, but got no billing email, what going wrong
Please open a ticket by sending a mail to [email protected] and we will have a look into that issue. Thank you very much!
I bought one, it's located in Germany, very good, like it!
Is it still these old processors?
Bought one in Los Angeles, looks good so far and support is fast.
Just one little typo:
@ultravps
Just got one Cloud-BF in Los Angeles, Invoice 200187293. Thanks for the deal.
