  • Hi @ultravps.eu Do you offer additional IPv4 and how much are they? (small number, like 2 or so)

  • UltraVPSUltraVPS Member, Patron Provider

    @southy, we don't provide additional IPv4 addresses for these special offers. I am sorry.

  • Thanks!

  • @UltraVPS If we are given 10 IPv6 from your own /64, are we given access to add more IPS at will from that set?

  • UltraVPSUltraVPS Member, Patron Provider

    WSS said: are we given access to add more IPS at will from that set?

    Alas, that's not possible at the moment.

  • dfroedfroe Member, Host Rep

    Thanks for your benchmark, @Falzo. Though it doesn't make the decision easier - both seem on a par regarding network. Disk throughput was better with HostHatch, CPU benchmark seems a bit better with UltraVPS - and it looks like you've got AES-NI in your VPS there.

    I think, I'll give UltraVPS another try. At least I shouldn't have any concerns about reliability with them. My experience with last year's Cloud BF was/is great. Let's hope the disk throughput and latency remains stable when all ZXHost refugees are going to put their data on those storage boxes. :)

    @dfroe

    I have services with Hosthatch and UltraVPS and while Hosthatch is decent, UltraVPS has a better network (in NL) and in my experience so far better uptime and support. I have a server from a sale a while back and it has not rebooted or had any issues requiring a ticket:

    root@nl1:~# uptime

    19:34:19 up 506 days, 8:46, 1 user, load average: 0.04, 0.05, 0.05

    Provider Service has been around a long time and is one of the most reliably providers around in Germany and Netherlands. They actually run their own networks, have their own peering and have a very good network mix. If you are stuck between the two, unless there is some specific resource that Hosthatch is going to give you more of that you need, the level of service and quality is hard to match.

    my 2 cents.

    Cheers!

    @TheLinuxBug

    Thanks for sharing your experience. Actually I already ordered an UltraVPS BF Storage a few minutes ago. And yes, I went with the larger one - couldn't resist, @Falzo :) I hope this new storage VPS will do a great job.
