Hey @Tom - thanks for choosing us.

For your info, we own and operate our own DC. https://www.netcetera.co.uk/datacentre/tour/

Would be happy to invite you over for a tour if you ever wanted to!

  • Nekki said: I'll 'me too' this one also, if you don't mind.

Will drop you a voucher code via PM.

Tom said: Sign me up! KVM?

Is there any other type of virtualization? :P

Will drop you a voucher code also. Thank you both for your interest!

Sorry, bad terminology. The only real reviews I read of them when they launched were a pretty poor cpu and performance in general - is this still the case?

Thanks all for your responses - I'll reply shortly.

  • Is Vladimir, Russia exotic enough for you?

That's a pretty nice location, sure!

OK then. Inoventica offers KVM servers out there. 512MB one is 89 RUR ($1.5) + 99 RUR setup fee. No IPv6, IPv4 rDNS is manually added. They do accept Bitcoin (not automated, but manually via ticket).

The way AWS EC2 does "CPU credits" is odd. If you need a lot of CPU then I'd avoid them. If you don't then I think they are a great option, with some unique locations at a good price too.

Only thing I need is a few hundred mb of memory and the network -- thanks!

Taking a look! Will probably need to buy some BTC :-) edit: yea, they're declining all my cards.

What is your offer for Barcelona (Spain)?
    Thanks.

P.S. Can you make an offer also for Madrid (according to your website)?

You could try www.parkinhost.com. Available in 4 locations

I recommend you any of these OVZ from @jmginer if you are interested in Spain. Perhaps he can give you a KVM offer too.

    • KVM or LXC. (Want to avoid OVZ if I can, if only OVZ is available in a location I'll take it)

  • @leapswitch I have a madrid vps with you. Does that mean its not longer in Madrid but in Barcelona? Or all old VPS in Madrid are safe and will remain there?

    Hello,

All VPSes are in Barcelona since Nfsi/Rackspot shutdown their business. We had PT and ES locations with them.

I will have someone correct the website so that there is no confusion on the location.

  • For Australia, how about Aliyun - $30 for the year.

Not exactly as exotic as it once was, but considering you get 1GB ram and 1TB bandwidth, it's not a bad shout.

@MikePT VISA DEBIT worked with the 2nd payment method - thanks!

I have only good things to say about them albeit they have a few limitations.

So, their network seems to be good enough, CPU/IO is super fast. Their email support is extremelly fast. Sent them two tickets and got a response in 3 minutes (!!!)

Now the limitations... You cant reinstall or delete a VPS. You'll need to contact them to do it for you. The connection fee is sort of stupid as well but they might be smart by preventing someone to launch a bunch of vms and then do something bad. I dunno. I am honestly impressive with their services. Its a steal.

Edit: no idea for rdns, ipv6 etc.
