Do they put in new HDDs if you request a HDD change or just less old ones?

The HDDs at auction servers are replaced with used ones.

    • Could you share your SSD model?

EX41 vs EX41S difference? Free 32GB RAM? What I am missing.

What are the regular price for these servers? Did they remove setup fee only or brought down prices too?

    Ugh TLC NAND though.

  • @Falzo you got one?

I don't need it immediately. Will the monthly prices stay the same after this sale? Idling them for a few months would negate all savings on the setup fee.

  • @Ympker said:

    could resist so far...

no real need, would only replace something else, but the auction servers I already have have been that cheap, there is no justification to switch to something >10€ more...

it seems the offer is valid for more then a few days (maybe even end of august?) so hopefully we'll see a drop in prices on the auction servers due to people now switching to buying new ones instead or releasing some stuff, haven't seen really cheap ones on the auctions lately - that might make me buy something more :-)

the monthly prices haven't changed in any regard. they only dropped the setup fee for those offers so ig you can live with that simply wait, monthly prices won't increase on those even after the sale (unless they totally change the offers in terms of hardware and such)

Hi, can you make Ryzen Bench?

    https://serverscope.io/

    And post result link. Thx

  • Most interesting one is the GPU model since without the setup fee it's much more tempting to play with one for 1-2 months. I don't have time to do anything with it though.

  • Wow, am I late to the party?
The setup fee is what holding me back for months!!!

As I can see, they offer free setup fee until the end of Aug 2017. So you have plenty of time for it :-)

Somebody cook up an unmetered CPU KVM-ssd slice on these fast Skylake cores. I really don't need a whole box.

    tagging @exception0x876 .

maybe a group pre-order for 4-6 hetzner 'slices' (4GB ram min) for us non-abusive oldtimers.

    maybe a 40GB ssd+ 200Gb hdd hybrid package based on the Ex40-Hybrid.

Seems strange. Usually they deliver those servers within minutes/hours. https://wiki.hetzner.de/index.php/Auftragsbearbeitung/en

I would talk to them ;)

Well, it's that 6 TB SATA which causing the late delivery. I already called them even before commenting here, they said they take up to 3 days for this type of orders.
