  • No wonder. I thought it was a template bug in their site when I was looking at regular dedis today.

If they would just do this with their PX series... I'd buy myself a PX61 with 2x4 TB right now.

  • Which one is worth buy?

    EX41 or EX41-SSD?

    both.

Depends. It's the same server, one with SSDs, the other with HDDs. If you need space and not so fast write speeds, go with the EX41. Otherwise take the SSD.

  • Where is the ex41 housed? Falkenstein or Nürnberg?

Besides, Hetzner have auction servers with 2x3TB from very very cheap pricing... while SSD with 1TB is hard to find in their auction servers.

  • If the ryzens have ECC, they're very interesting

What is the sequential write speed on the 500GB ssds (for flushing writes)

Sure, but the HDDs are mostly very, very, very old. And sometimes you have to request a HDD change after ordering the server, because a drive is dead already.

    Good point....

  • Otherwise they have sometimes for the same price ECC RAM, which the EX41 has not.

Please, can anyone help me choosing between these two? It is so complicated!

    AX50-SSD AMD Ryzen 5 1600X (CPU mark 13136) with 32 GB DDR4 RAM +2x500 gb SSD.
    vs
    EX41S-SSD i7-6700 (CPU mark 10039) 64 GB DDR4 RAM +2x250 gb SSD.

They are going to be consumed by java web apps and dbms (mariadb).

    Thank you!

Do they put in new HDDs if you request a HDD change or just less old ones?
