  The same reason ThePirateBay is still running. It's hard to prove theyre entirely illegal enough to have them shut down. Besides I like the fact they exist.. World should not be so easy controlled by one side.. And you can just block them anyway with blacklists.

  Ok, I can understand spam, botnets,etc. But how come people accuse them with hosting cp? That's fucked up

  Because they are.. it was proven many times before.. I think there was even court orders of ecatel having to shut down CP servers.. Then there was the "#OpEcatel" which the "Anonymous" or whatever targeted Ecatel for hosting pedochats/chans over TOR.

  At one point, they even hosted "Party for Neighbourly Love, Freedom, and Diversity" or "PNVD" which is a political party in netherland looking to abolish child protection laws for "equal love" etc. Personally I find the stuff disgusting

  In the end, that's not the point of this thread.

  Ecatel is good host because they are neutral to anything.. I guess they would even host an ISIS site for the right money lol.

  As bad as it sounds, it's a neccessary evil to have around.

  Trying hard to follow your logic @stefeman (sounds dutch?). On left hand you're declining the party for Love, Freedom and Diversity by meaning being pro sex with children.

  On other hand you say it's necessary having the evil around.

  I think it's more the way that some important circles is using their services to keep down other peoples opinion through DDoS botnets.
