    Porn? Warez? DDoS?

  • BlaZeBlaZe Member, Host Rep

We are selling servers in NL (https://www.stroix.com) and do accept BTC.

But regarding the DMCA, I think there will be no serious hosting company willing to support illegal content on their servers.

Yes. We know you can do something about this offer. We have trust in you.

  • You can check hostkey.com which offers DMCA ignored Russia dedicated servers.

Or perhaps give a try to our RU VPS plans which also ignores DMCA. ;)

dmca is just a us-american thing with zero significance in other countries. Theoretically.

What people like you need to understand is the following:

    • dmca is nothing to do with "right" and "justice". It's an abomination that became a law because ultra-greedy us-american corporations managed to buy enough rotten politicians to do their bidding.

    • officially, dmca isn't binding for anyone outside the us of a.

    • de facto, however, most western countries are more or less just vassals of the us of a

    • To oppose the hegemonial wanton demands of the us of a a country needs lots of power - which most don't have and hence they do not ignore dmca, at least not in more grave cases with lots of pressure from the us of a.

    • all (well almost all) countries do have diverse laws against cyber crimes. How quick, much, and hard they enforce those laws is quite variable. Most enforce at least in cases where their own citizens (or companies!) are victims.

    • keep cultural differences in mind. The Chinese, for instance, are not criminally minded but sharing is simply in their culture. For them sharing software isn't criminal but a socially normal way to act.

As a result one can see basic groups:

    a) us of a and willing us of a vassals who pretty much send their police whenever a us-american agency (or the embassy) wishes.

    b) vassals with either some rests of dignity or lea too corrupt and rotten who ignore small fish but give in to pressure in more grave cases.

    c) Free and souvereign countries who don't care a fuck (and can afford to not care) about us-american wishes, let alone about us of a corporation wishes. Russia, China, and Iran are examples.

Russia is a good example for other things I explained, too. In particular, Russia is not easy going; they do enforce (their) laws and they do fight crime. Try, for example, child porn in Russia and you will regret not having done it in the us of a...

Summary: It pretty much boils down to a) where you are (physically) and b) what kind of stuff you want to host and/do. Hosting warez, for instance, is a very much different thing from hosting childporn. Hosting free speech is a very much different thing from hosting a C&C server for a bot net. Plus c) some things like spam are deeply despised everywhere and by "the internet" itself. It might even be legal in your jurisdiction but "the internet" will hunt you down and providers will blacklist/non-route the IP range, hence no provider in his right mind will tolerate that.

Keeping all that in mind, @cociu might be the man to turn to. But don't you dream of him tolerating childporn or spamming, no matter the dmca.

Hint: It's not about how to write us of a part of a part of america.

Whether the DMCA is a US thing or not, that is not the case here.

I do remember @Jarland saying that LET is hosted in the US, and thus discussions shouldn't be around : "Looking for a provider to allow me to upload warez/xx/etc."

@cociu has on several occasions clarified that in the case of CP he'll shut the server down immediately, even if it's user-uploaded. I have no doubt that in worse cases he'll provide the law enforcement with every single bit of info he has. I would most certainly applaud him if he did.

yes dmca is just a us-american thing

Yeah, DMCA is a US only thing, but EU law is VERY similar and in hosting boils down to the provider loosing his legal protections the moment he has been made aware (by notice for example) that the material is stolen. Yes, stolen is the right word here. If the person hosting this gets sued, the provider who ignores the notice can be equally sued for damages as if they were co-operating in this actions.
