I launched Atlanta yesterday and it is a new location but there are 12 customers on the first node atm. It's also SSD cached and all of our new nodes will be set up with this improved configuration for better I/O =P

    Enjoy!!

Taking bets on how long that will stand.

  • Does Atlanta have vSwap or Burst RAM? The 1GB deal looks too good to pass up.

@Nick_A said: Taking bets on how long that will stand.

Quite a while: They had $7/mo 3GB around Christmas.

1536 MB burst. If you prefer vSwap in exchange for burst make a ticket and i'll get it done for you.

It will stand alright. If you're talking about performance though, it would entirely depend on how psycho my inmates are and also the warden's policy.

  • @UGVPS said: 6.00/month or $19.00/6 months.

    19$ for 6 month ?
Can i upgrade to this from my 2GB OVZ ?

I'm talking about how long Chris will put up with being outdone pricewise. We all saw his reaction to @Patrick trying to one up CVPS in the GOBS-OF-RAM-FOR-PENNIES competition. 4GB/$7 is probably not too far off anymore.

  • I'm on the edge about the 6 month plan. Since you guys are a new host, I don't want to see you go bankrupt and leave with a few months still on my plan. I might try one though, since it is such good value :). Do you support Google Checkout?

Please make me a ticket and i will see what I can do for you.

UGVPS has been in business for a while, but at the same time no one is forcing you to opt in for the 6 month option, I am also offering month to month billing option with these specials. At the moment we only accept PayPal.

@ZeroCool Geolocating takes time, @UGVPS probably didn't have time to correct them yet, but they will be soon enough.

@LAKid and @ihatetonyy would be correct. Geo IP locations are not accurate and should be taken with a grain of salt as it typically shows where the IPs are registered, not where they are routed to. If anyone has any additional questions or concerns please let me know.

    Thanks!

  • JUST NOW I HAVE ORDERED TWO VPS AT ATLANTA & LA LOCATION EVERY THING IS FINE BUT DO SOMETHING FOR PORT SPEED IN ATLANTA LOCATION IT IS SLOW CURRENTLY.

Yeah the speed in Atlanta should be better now, there was a brief spike. Can't wait till the upgrade to gbit is complete there =P should be done by the 12th i've been told.

I don't know how can I make the proof for speed... Can u teach me something?

I was install centmin script on the ugvps. install is speed compare than another vps service company.

    4core is terrible~

  • I mean like benchmark output

  • How much is extra diskspace per gigabyte? You do have tun / tap enabled, right?

  • UGVPSUGVPS Member

@jcaleb said: Which location has vswap?

All locations support vSwap, but by default the VPS will come with burst. If you prefer vSwap in exchange for burst make a ticket and i will add vSwap for you as all of the servers support it.

I'm confused here =/ Seems like there is a language barrier - not sure if you mean this means the VPS is fast or terrible as you stated both? Please clarify

@alterarch said: How much is extra diskspace per gigabyte? You do have tun / tap enabled, right?

I can do 8 cents per extra gigabyte of diskspace, you can enable tun / tap in SolusVM instantly.

    Thanks,

  • Are game servers allowed on these VPS? I don't see a specific disallow in the TOS, but I want to be sure. I'm thinking something small for just me and my SO, so just 2 slots and only occassional.

    This would be fine.
