  • Anything in France, essentially.

Hosting local is dangerous and fairly useless unless EXTREMELY latency sensitive.

I am not sure I follow you.

Anyway, if VPS not available, dedicated server will be Okay too.
And, yes, we know, Internet connections might not good in this area, or expensive, it's OK. As long as it's decent provider will do.

What he meant was, unless its extremely important that you must have very low latency, It not bad to go with some good providers with a bit higher latency, rather choosing a local, but relatively less reliable provider.

In my case, Unless the app, specifically focuses Indian clients, it makes no sense to get an Indian vps which will cost much higher and we have a very few dence providers due to huge bandwith costs.

If I make a slight compromise over latency, then any vps from Uk or NL gives me an excellent price, feature and reliability combo.

  • For my Saudi Arabia Clients i am using LUXEMBOURG, EU location all clients are happy, you can find local provider but too expensive just little example if you get Fully managed VPS 1 GB yearly $400 USA or EU server and local provider price will be $1000 to $1500 Yearly

    Sorry for my bad English

  • Hey, Guys,
Yes, I know there are a lot of better options, and reasons not to use servers in that area, BUT!! When customer insist they JUST WANT it, how can you do about it ?

Also, every client has their reasons to do that, we just help them to get what they want.

So, if you know providers in Gulf region: UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Please make a sound. Thanks.

Tell him that if he gets hacked and sends out porn spam or similar and happens to live in this country he could end up neck up on a crane, killed by his gov.

He will very quickly decide Europe is fine to host.

Further, ALL of this countries do NOT peer with each other (some exceptions in Saudi/Qatar/Bahrain) so your traffic ends up in Europe anyway.

And if this is for some VPN/similar service - illegal to run in all of these unless you are licensed.

Now that you know the legal side - budget? Tell me less than 100$/mo and you can already close this thread yourself as pointless.

  • I've had some good results with my cloud.net vps in UAE. Not sure if they still have stock on that. @onapp_terry?

You have quite the customer base...you've opened threads asking for VPSes in UAE, Pretoria, Viet Nam, and Argentina.

Are you building a VPN network/service?

Seemingly. In countries where it is illegal or licensing required mostly also.

Here is an UAE location at UAE price levels. Makes use of a datacenter of Equinix in the UAE.

(Disclaimer: I'm not using this host and I'm not working for it. I don't know anything about the quality, only knew of the existence)

    $26.95 for a 1GB VPS...ouch. But Equinix is a well-known DC.

I used them. The BW is ok but you only get 5Mbit limited, not burstable.

  • You have been posting several such threads all of a sudden :-O VPS in VN, AR, Tshwane/Pretoria, Gulf. Amazed.

Is there a diaspora of Arabic content yearning to return home?

No, but SA wan't to be a tech hub as they do not like the position Dubai has now. Will not happen unless they open SEZ like datacenters with FAR more relaxed content rules (and not accessible to KSA residents).

. I get your point but from what I know it's not illegal (no license needed) to have a vpn here/Argie.

    Hi,

    What is the lowest plan?

Do you offer small VPS like 128MB RAM?

  • pakistanwebserver said: i can provide you vps from Iran its also in gulf region

Paid how, on what network (Afranet or even ITC?) and with what requirements (local ISPs require you to send ID/Passport)?

Judging by the "VPS website" this guy posted earlier (which contained some links related to Yeezy sneakers), I would say it's as legit as those Nigerian emails telling me that I won millions of dollars.

    Probably :/

Iran is very hard, Persian first problem, payment method second, currency (value changes basically daily extremely) third.....

    But, worth a try:

If anyone here speaks Persian with some tech knowledge i am happy to pay very good to call up a few ISPs for dedicated/colo.

What about r0ute.com? It could be possibly to still get in touch with the guys who ran it, afaik they offered Iranian VPS for quite a long time.
